Yeah i don't mind revving and find riding around at half throttle on a 450 kinda boring. Maybe I just gotta finally accept I'm a 350 guy ha ha.

unofficial speculation from other un named mechanics at Lommel is that electronics and sensors are possibly getting fried due to the extreme load placed on the bike from the 84. small army of Honda technicians were with Jeffery all day on Wednesday at Heerde in NL conducting electronics testing - apparently they were live streaming data to HRC Japan while Herlings was doing long motos. Im told JH is very hard on the bike, apparently they have not had to deal with this level of wear and tear on the motors before he came to the team.

Carbon fiber subframe? At least the top portion? Also looks like there is some Ti there too. Any pics of the head on the 250s? The '28 appears to have a new valvetrain (from pics of Mikula's bike).

I tried to put this up while I was in Lommel, but poor internet service didn't allow it until I got back to NL. This is for KTM and Husqvarna geeks - True factory bikes with some truly exotic parts. I also took pics of KTM factory support team bikes from Kosak and Venrooy KTM as a comparison. The support teams are racing largely stock motorcycles, Venrooy gets motors from KTM factory services, but they are not super exotic past the Special Akro exhausts. So KTM guys take a look to see how many differences you spot between your own...

Would anyone really challenge him next year? I don't think so. Maybe for a race here or there, but across the season I think he'd be by far the best. HRC should have the bike a little more refined too.
I'll be interested in what the new Honda has in regards to transmission ratios. Supposedly went to longer gears? I have a 350 (2024) and have ridden the YZ450s and a 25/26 CRF. The new 450s are really good. I can't say I prefer them to my 350, but the meaningful differences to me are in subtle chassis feel differences...

What you are describing is exactly what I have also felt. The '23-25 YZ was the first 450 that I'd ridden and felt like it was lively and didn't have that typical 450 feel. But it was just a bit too much for me to actually buy one. I took a chance on the '26 and it's exactly what I was hoping it would be. That's why I wanted to post because I feel like there are probably quite a few people that may be on the fence there, so maybe they would want to try the '26. I sort...

For anyone that may care, I wanted to give a review of the '26 YZ450F as I recently picked one up. Avg Vet rider, occasionally race but just no time to take it too serious these days. Current other bikes are '21 YZ250F (modded, 2nd injector etc,) YZ125, 98 YZ250. Haven't had a 450 for many years. Ride the 23-25 a few times, and that set me on the path to wanting one. Anyways, very quiet. Sounds kind of odd actually but I kind of like it. Ergos most people know about by now. Overall good rider triangle but it...

I think they have cooling problems in general. Probably to little oil flow or volume due to new engine size. Not a super easy fix being in the middle of racing season with Championship on the line. Every change needs to be guaranteed "Bullet proof" (😂) for 35+min in deep sand.

Will the Lawrence's prefer the '27 Honda? Use your psychic powers, best guess...or perhaps better addressed on Tuesday. Do the new WP forks some factory guys are using have a name, and do you know they will become an available product? Any insights on Eli's recent performances? (comfort with bike vs. rider blame pie) Has Kawi set a date/location for...

I assume HRC is using the new clutch that will be on the '27. It has a built in slipper-like function. Maybe finding the weak point?

That was a clinic. Losing Lucas (thanks Renaux…) has crushed the racing. Would have been great to see if Lucas could have given Jeffrey some challenge.

The viewing appears to be very limited from a fan perspective. All grouped into a few areas with very limited access to trackside viewing.

There's a ton of good advice in here. I'm all for your own track. It's SO nice to get home from work, throw on your gear and rip for 30-40 minutes and not have to haul your bike anywhere. While two acres is smallish for a full sized bike, it becomes large to maintain unless you have nice equipment and most importantly TIME. Yeah you can get a good bush hog and knock the flat stuff out easy, it's the sides of the jumps and around the edges that become the challenge. My approach has always been to try to...
