Not one person in this industry should be shocked. With how they were operating every single year, cancelling events, paying riders just to show up and also paying them purse money, CARDBOARD TUFF BLOCKS..., New owner after new owner, trying to find money, trying to add venues... It was a joke from day 1. With all that money FIM just made in Ernee, even THEY didn't want to save it...

Well, it's happened. The FIM World Supercross series has shut down, and the 2026 season has concluded immediately. The announcement below, states that the organizers are still hoping to sell or gain new investment to restart the series in the future. 7th October 2026: World Supercross has today announced, with regret, that the 2026 FIM World Supercross Championship season will conclude with immediate effect. World Supercross remains in advanced discussions with potential investors regarding the future of the series. I'm also not paying $160 for SX tickets. Mostly because of the price, but also because the closest race is 450 miles from Charlotte.

For myself the negative experiences outweigh the positives ones at SX races. Yeah the actual racing is great but all the negative peripherals (driving, parking, food, idiots in the stands etc.) are a deal breaker. Peacock fixes all that. Haven't been to a SX since the 90's and I don't miss it.

I miss that track. Had some good times there. Helping friends get to the National, going to the go kart track on the days that got rained out. One of my friends dads was into eating exotic meats and he had given us what I thought was burgers and steaks and some pork chops. I watch at home now. Watching the pros hit those triples and rail the corners up close is as cool as it ever was. Supercross hasn’t changed and $200 is chump change. I’ve changed. When you’re older your tolerance for the crowds, parking and just your fellow human beings diminishes. Your favorite recliner, big screen with your dogs looks better and better.

This year is the last year I’ll be attending A1 and I’ve gone almost every year since the early 90s. The vibe is gone, they’ve lost touch with their core audience. I can barely sit through the highlights. It’s a bummer but it’s how I feel

The lazy boy recliner factory is about 45min from the house. A trip is planned soon for a new chair. That, and a big ass television, home cooking, a bit of quality bourbon, will have me sitting comfortably in my living room, watching the action. (And hoping for the day with an audio simulcast as an alternative to, "inside, outside, and the reason I say that is...") 😉

The bike was gurgling all day per multiple sources. Marchbanks also had issues during that race and even made gestures when passing by the mechanics area indicating something was going on with the bike. It's pretty obvious it wasn't Chase's fault. Can't believe we're still talking about this.

Nashville 26 was my last Supercross. 200 per head for 2 tickets, 80 to park. Spoken as humbly as possible, I am not hurting for cash. But you're right, there comes a point where it's just insanity. They aren't trying to expand their customer base, they're trying to juice the customer base that remains.

I feel like the team is the perfect setup for the older dudes. Probably feels good to hop on a bike that’s been tested for years and just practice to race, no more or minimal testing required. No more bike refreshes every 2 years after you just start getting comfortable with the current generation. These dudes don’t have any more time to keep playing test rider and searching for better setups
