If you want to increase viewership of the pro races, you have to increase turnout at local tracks. People who ride, spin laps, and have done some local races are the ones who watch racing. Sure some wives and friends watch to but they only did because the guy who races or rides got them hooked. The way to get more people riding and racing is by fixing amateur racing and fixing the local track designs. Make the tracks safer , more forgiving, more fun, floaty forgiving ski jumps, fun hip jumps, fun turns, less jumps, less risk, more fun...

I kind of hate reading the current year tests because they always say this is great and thats great and it all feels improved, then if the bike changes again they say yea last years bike was bad in the corners but now its better! I always say if you want to get an accurate description of a bike read what the test riders say about it once the new bike comes out. I always think I wish they had said that before when reading what they say about the last gen.

Related Note, I increased the bolts in red to 4Nm and reduced the ones in blue to 3Nm and now get incredible tractorability in Zone 17.

5/14/2026 12:23pm Will it, though? AMA Superbike didn't exactly take off in popularity because of Jordan. Granted, SX is already in a better starting point to capitalize on it compared to where AMA Superbe was. But still, "normies" will just never be able to relate to this sport.

I doubt it. If that was the case, they should've been doing that the whole time, using their '22 line-up (carbed 2 strokes, the old platform that had very little negative feedback etc.) MXA said they were told that it actually costs more to run an older generation product line under the GG name, than it is to update it. It also felt like over the last couple years, their pricing tightened up much closer to the KTM than years prior. As I said in another thread, the 450 costs more than YZ. So I'm not sure what to think.

At the start of the season, I got my non-moto friend into watching supercross and he loves it. He’ll never buy a bike or go that route, but he caught onto to the excitement real quick and watches the races every weekend, and has questions about the points, different classes, etc. Locked onto Roczen and Kitchen at the first few rounds so he was pulling for them, and wouldn’t you know it. Kenny won it.

The change in momentum occurred with his crash in the whoops at Detroit. He wasn't choking then, he was charging. Then mud at two races introduced the unknown factors. Still, I can't think of anyone who could have handled this loss with as much class as Hunter did.

Was rooting for Kenny all the way but Hunter gained me as a new fan this weekend. More so for his actions in the 10 minutes following the race. Class act. Rooting for him in MX.

I saw this yesterday and forgot to share it, credit to whoever recorded that cool moment. Hunter is some absolute class act, takes a lot to take your ego away and do this and then also stay there to watch the whole celebration, I don't know if I could have done the same. Definitely rooting for him in MX.
