9/16/2026 7:42pm Why would dropping from 31 races to 28 cause a 25% pay decrease? Regardless, I can't speak for the riders, but Feld doesn't pay rider salaries. Teams do, and by all accounts, the teams aren't thrilled with the current number of races.

IMO Feld needs to answer to this. MX Sports dropped an outdoor round down to 11 rounds. SX with 17 rounds is too long (all in football stadiums except Daytona and Anaheim). How many first turn & first lap crashes resulted in DNF's?

If this were any sport, say Formula 1, and only a tiny percentage of the field was able to compete in every round of competition, would it just be accepted? The SMX series is a raw survival contest more than a racing contest. It is a contest of attrition. The series is insanely long. I am commenting on the on-air stat from Columbus that Hunter Lawrence was one of only two riders to make the whole series. And even he is injured. This is reaching absurd levels--a meat grinder.

9/15/2026 3:29pm It makes no sense for Feld to let the FIM sanctioning partnership go if they didn't already have a plan in place. They obviously knew that letting it go would lead to someone else swooping in and creating a new series.

To be fair the $472 is in a resale site. The Center Hill tickets were originally like $30 more than other tickets. I got 2 of them when they were on presale back in January or February. Edit to add: I checked my receipt. Center Hill was $100 plus fees and total at $146.75

This is some Grade A bullshit if they don’t allow you to bring in a chair but have them for sale. I can already see it now. People will be staking down their chairs before the races and holding their spots. If I see an unoccupied chair I’m sitting in it and claiming it as my own.

Because 250 is broken. It doesn't develop the next generation. It encourages guys like Hampshire, Craig, Macadoo, and Kitchen who will never be top 450 guys to sit on spots that are needed to develop the next crop. SMX Next is what 250 was supposed to be.

Man, I'm going to miss seeing Eli race but so happy to see him retire happy and healthy. He needs to hang it up?! How quick we forget. Until he got sick - which was obvious during a post race interview - he was winning moto's! 🙄 Any race he lined up healthy for he was a threat to win. You can't say that about many riders. We don't know if he had covid during SX but I can tell you his camp sure as hell wouldn't broadcast it. After that he got knocked down in two separate SX starts and got landed on in another. All this by riders totally incapable of ever racing with his skill...
