The lazy boy recliner factory is about 45min from the house.

A trip is planned soon for a new chair.

That, and a big ass television, home cooking, a bit of quality bourbon, will have me sitting comfortably in my living room, watching the action.

(And hoping for the day with an audio simulcast as an alternative to, "inside, outside, and the reason I say that is...")

😉

A companion audio Podcast with outlaw personalities would absolutely slay!

This shit can't continue.  Out of principle I'm not paying twice as much for tickets as I did a few years ago.  I can't be the only one that has had enough of this insanity.

I’m skipping this season.  Im saving my money for a new dirt bike and I’ll go to a Motocross race.  I always tell myself “it’s once a year” but it’s got to the point it’s not worth it. The best seat is at home on TV.   PLUS… all of the best seats are already bought in presale by “verified resellers”.  They know Anaheim & certain markets will sell out so it’s an easy “double their money”.

One reason I’m not so thrilled to give my money to Feld is because SMX didn’t return to Concord this year for all the fans they screwed over last playoffs, including my buddy and his entire family.

The only way to stop greed is by voting with your wallet.

All fan footage will be banned in 2027 so if you are going, just enjoy the racing.  So many changes coming with YouTube and social media.  The new strict guidelines are all about power and control.

Don’t forget $55 for parking, no cash only cards

Also another issue nobody is really talking about is ever since they moved it up from 7pm to 5pm, well last year they moved it even earlier to 4pm and half the crowd had to sit IN THE SUN for about 90 minutes!

Something about day races for Supercross aren’t the same.   These are very expensive seats too.

I'm looking to go to East Rutherford next year, is that one that is likely to sell out fast / at all?

I wanted to take my son to Pittsburgh 2 years ago, as I have been to a dozen or so SX/MX races.

Stadiums are cashless. Nope, won't go. Credit/debit card does not say official US tender. The Government says my paper money is good for all debts, leans, and purchases. Not giving up my God given Liberty to watch a race I can on TV. Hell the hoops I was going to have to jump through to get a physical ticket was enough bullshit.

Then the price of the tickets changing depending on how fast they are selling.

I’m still choking on the exorbitant stadium parking fees. Dayum!

For myself the negative experiences outweigh the positives ones at SX races.  Yeah the actual racing is great but all the negative peripherals (driving, parking, food, idiots in the stands etc.) are a deal breaker.  Peacock fixes all that.  Haven't been to a SX since the 90's and I don't miss it.

I'm also not paying $160 for SX tickets.

Mostly because of the price, but also because the closest race is 450 miles from Charlotte.

Nashville 26 was my last Supercross. 200 per head for 2 tickets, 80 to park.

Spoken as humbly as possible, I am not hurting for cash. But you're right, there comes a point where it's just insanity.

They aren't trying to expand their customer base, they're trying to juice the customer base that remains.

$200 is a lot for 1 ticket. We also went to Nashville and paid a lot less for 2 tickets ($126) and parking at the Courthouse Garage ($18.11) which was an underground parking deck that Nissan stadium recommeded. I was able to justify this price.Tickets 0

Concert tickets are getting out of hand as well. Local mid size venue floor/general admission tickets for bands were around $50-$60. Now I saw it was around $116 for floor tickets to see Trivium this fall. Yeah...nope! Plus parking for the show hovers around $25 too depending on which lot you park in.

I get a lot of excuses, but ummm, this one?  How do you pay for your peacock to watch said race?  Send them then cash in the mail?  Roll eyes on this one...

Grow the sport! You want to grow the sport and complain about cost? It’s one or the other.

Everyone is entitled to thier opinion, naturally, and mine is an SX/ MX race is still only worth $50.00.

We paid $83.00 for industry bands for the Branson SMX. It’s still higher than in the past, but they are stil available if you got them in the past.

We used to be on the Vuillemin program - Buy the cheapest ticket, watch practice, drive the 90 minutes home and watch the races.

Wife and I decided to do that again last year until the nosebleeds were 110 a piece......We noped right out of that program

If I say how I feel about Ticketmaster, some alphabet agents will be knocking on my door.

Feld is clear about what they want. Dynamic pricing. Venues that will make the most money. Why was SMX in soccer stadiums? Because they want to charge a premium overseas in a soccer stadium. Higher ticket prices are just part of the global scaling plan, as they've done with Monster Jam.

What they've done to Monster Jam is atrocious, but it hasn't stopped ticket sales thus far.

$100 per ticket for decent seats here in the D.C. Metro area.

Anecdotally, I can go to the Detroit Supercross for the same price I did last year, in nosebleed, but "club" (padded) seating with ~20 dollar parking a 20 minute walk from the stadium.

The named price of each ticket is "$60" but with fees it will be more.

I could go for $40 per ticket but I really value the club seating in Ford Field. That's a long day to sit on a hard seat.

My wife and I are going to the Tampa SX since they're back there this year. We went a couple years ago when Mookie won. I don't remember what the tickets were, but I am curious to see what they'll be this time. To me all tickets are high.

Especially concerts. My wife has a friend thats a huge Morgan Wallen fan. She goes to see him anytime he's anywhere in Florida or Georgia. She buys vip seating, and I'm shocked when my wife tells me how much she spends each time. But these concerts just keep selling out.

SX won't lower prices as long as people are paying.

I  looked at presale and tickets are about the same as last Tampa SX.
Im buying club level tickets for next year because if it rains the wheelchair section is under the overhang. We were lower level last time when it started raining during the 250 main. We had a good laugh and mookie winning made it even better

Buy Walmart plus and get Peacock for FREEEEEE!

If you must know I used Paypal to pay for Walmart +, but I have other options to pay Walmart.

At the stadium I do not have other options.

There also was the fact the price of the ticket more than doubled by the time Ticket master informed me of how to get the physical ticket as I do not own a so called smart device. I use a desktop with an ethernet cord for my internet. I am not addicted to the internet so when I leave my house or work, I do not have to drag the internet with me.

Kevin, you only didn't go in 24 because of the price, not because of no credit or debit card.   You even posted to others here, how to get a paper ticket you have to show the cc or dc that you used to get will call tickets. So, I still don't buy the excuse of cash only.  Paypal is not cash only either. I even have a paypal dc.

This !!!

More and more places going cashless sucks.

That's more and more places I/we will not support.

A local pizza place/pub that we've been going to for over a decade, recently went cashless.

Adios. Or Arivaderche as the case may be.

Online transactions are one thing.

But when you walk up in person, and they don't want your cash ???

That's another.

I'll agree with that.  I just know, people have been required for years to do payments etc for electric, phone, water etc through either bank card or account info.  I'm much more willing to give a card than acct info.  Saying Paypal makes it, not the same, is what I'm calling out. It's the same. Zelle is probably the only thing I think is similar to cash, because no fees.  But I would bet, that's coming some day.  It's just to get us hooked.

As a comparison, what does it cost to go to an outdoor national in the US?

General Admission?

VIP Admission?

Parking?

Are prices the same for every national, or do they vary geographically?

I have to say it....

The U.S. has become the land of the gouge and at about every turn!

A lot has to do with the current administration and I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

More than likely, it's going to get worse....so buckle up.

I'm not gonna defend the current admin, but the price gouging started years ago. It's not been good for a long time. Frog in a boiling pot of water analogy somewhere in there. It's worse than ever right now, no doubt.

You can see it with cars especially. Every brand is pushing "upmarket" to sell "luxury" vehicles. Really just the same shit sandwich underneath with a bit of flash.

Live event ticket pricing has been and continues to get more absurd. To me, you can still get to these events if you're okay with nose bleeds. However, I'm not into stick and ball sports or big name music. Tickets to an NFL game sitting in my preferred section for SX are 300-400+ dollars. I just can't justify that. I'll go to my local "single A" baseball team or OHL games, but I just don't care enough to shell out for top level stick and ball. Most concerts I go to are 60 dollars at the absolute max.

All of the American ruling class of either political party want you broke, angry, and scared so they can tell you who to blame.

Fyi, I just priced tickets for the Tampa SX.

Best seats available $334 for 2 tickets. So with food, beer, gas and parking I'm guessing about $500 for the day. .
