Just raced the amateur classic there this past weekend. That track is so gnarly, like chocolate cake on steroids in the morning. Then at the end of the day it’s like a warzone. Not one inch didn’t have a rut or a bump. Kickers on the massive jumps too. I made a last lap pass in gravity cavity, shit like that is what I do it all for man what a feeling!

The helmet donut has me believing that is Davalos or Millsaps - But I dont recall either of them wearing an Arai.... Horrified I will never get any more info about the greatest Moto-Tee ever made.

Theres a million (or trillion) ways our tax dollars are being spent that is nothing shy of irresponsible - At least I can see AND enjoy said spending on this occasion.

Kind of (and I could be wrong so spare me from tar/feathering if I am) Starwest weathered the first few storms because the city straight up said that Starwest (original) was one of the only sources of revenue for years WELL BEFORE the houses popped up across the street. Now after ownership changed hands a few times, I am sure...
I don’t understand how the bosses of these teams don’t tell their riders “all you’re doing this week is starts. Nothing else. You don’t need to hit another triple, you don’t need to find another setting. You don’t need to adjust your sag. You need to learn how to NOT round the first corner in 19th”. I’m 100% serious. Marchbanks...

Am I the only one who has varied adjustment periods to altitude? Born & raised at sea level - as a kid going up to mammoth every year, I never had a problem. As an adult, its Russian Roulette - Two years ago, we went to visit friends in Mammoth & I woke up day 1 to unequivocally the worst...

Mossy940 Added a reply to HEP Motorsports

4/8/2026 5:49am
So far as I know that was not HEP motorsports - That was Motorcycle SuperStore/Albertson Enterprise's Suzuki & was created (and subsequently folded) before HEP was even announced. Osby/Cunningham/Worth/Albertson were the riders.

As someone that broke almost everything from the knees down in one crash, I can tell you firsthand that Joe feels the decision to go for that jump every single morning.... Glad to hear that he is enjoying living the dad life. Quite a few of us with massive trauma either get hooked on pain killers or worse. One other...

Am I the only one who had no idea Shane had an accident that damn near left him a quadriplegic? I remember Shane from the US open in 1999 (maybe 2000?) racing the 80 exhibition but never heard much after that. What little I could find about him said that he is able to walk but does have some body...

Mossy940 Added a reply to Handguards save lives (and points)

3/30/2026 6:42am
I used to run handguards because they looked cool & TP199 hand them.... Then as I got older, I realized how great it was not taking a rock on the knuckle. Again, whatever most pros can do to ELIMINATE things that WOULD protect themselves, they will eliminate. Good on Dudney!

Mossy940 Added a reply to Yogi leaving AMA?

3/27/2026 7:44am
My biggest issue is the inconsistency - Not unlike a home plate umpire for baseball......I can think your strike-zone is bullshit, but if you stay consistent with your bullshit strike-zone then we are good to go. If you consistently change your strike-zone, then players are going to be afraid to swing. Can jump on red lights, can't jump on red...

Mossy940 Added a reply to Ferry Penalty

3/23/2026 6:25am
My uneducated conspiracy theory? The AMA have been talking about integrating steeper penalties into the sport for aggressive riding but know damn well they can't START imposing said penalties that would have negative championship penalties. AMA chose Ferry to show everyone else "SEE! WE MEAN IT" knowing that five points/license points would hurt only Ferry. They made an example out...

Mossy940 Added a reply to Kids quads?...

3/23/2026 6:10am
While I do agree with the sentiment of putting the kids on two wheels right off the bat, our property is mostly soft sand & even all the dads with a combined 100+ years of riding are known to tuck the front leaving camp. With that in mind we bought a KAYO 70 (quad) five years ago as a tester...

Mossy940 Added a reply to Ricky’s first Honda test

3/13/2026 6:50am
Talk about a contract being set in stone. Pretty damn smart if you think about it though. Ricky road that track the day before (albeit on a 125) and has the "feel" fresh in his mind. No lag, no guessing, straight comparison. Different world back then.

Mossy940 Added a reply to Jason Anderson to step away from racing…

3/3/2026 9:48am
The hardest part about this is no matter what happened, this will always be at the top of mind. If Jason assaulted his wife, it's over (rightfully so) If Jason did NOT assault his wife, it's still probably over. Years ago, there was an actor by the name of Sasha Mitchell. Sasha (male) was a recurring actor on a few...

Mossy940 Added a reply to Kyle Partridge R2R link

Absolutely devastated to hear this. Kyle seemed to be back to his old self for the first time since stepping away from racing - Kyle has always been a good dude & never one to "cool guy" anybody. Money, prayers, thoughts, positive vibes - whatever you can throw Kyle & his son Landon's way, its needed now more than ever.
