Some old pictures circa 2006-2009 I took that I thought some people around my age might enjoy.
The longer you look the more you will see, definitely a few easter eggs that you won't catch at first glance.
I was around 12 when these were taken so go easy on me. I'm no Rupert, but I think they will invoke a few memories for some.

I don’t know if the amateur moto scene will ever be like it was in the mid 2000’s. So cutthroat and so many races vs just grinding away at a facility like they do now. Great pics, nostalgic for sure.
Vince again, eyes wide open, absolutely SHOCKED that anyone had a problem with his incredible cross jumping abilities.

Was waiting for someone to spot that one. He was Nicos' mechanic his last year in amateur if I remember correctly.
Ian Trettle was so fucking fast man he was unbeatable on an 85/supermini. I am biased (same age as OP) but 03-08 was an INSANE era for amateur motocross. Don't think there will ever be a span of years with so much talent. So many guys that didn't turn out as well that were insanely fast.
The OP of this thread was pretty damn fast in these years as well....
Amazing to me that social media was basically irrelevant during that time period but the entire moto industry knew just about the every amateur kid whether 65, 85 or 125/250F. So many fast kids during that time. Leads you to believe the constant racing is way better than the year round practice/training facility route everyone is going now.

I think the likes of vurbmoto (allegiance mx), motoplayground, amateur mx and a handful of others did such a great job covering our sport during that era and being at every random race and giving us as much info as possible that we felt like we knew everyone. Obviously the kids were racing and not at training facilities as well.
I think amateur coverage has gotten slightly better recently but not sure don't follow close enough. It seemed like an absolute wasteland/graveyard from I don't know 2014-2020 something?
