' Ryan Dungey - 2013 Minneapolis Supercross - This was one of the most impressive races of Dungey's career, where he legitimately caught and passed Villopoto for the win. I don't remember any other races like this for Dungey. Dungeys ride at Southwick in 2011 will always be a favourite of mine. To start almost a full lap down and finish 7th - on a brutal track - was amazing.

It’s a novelty title. Cool little resume padder. But hearing them reference it as a world championship and saying it makes him the best in the world is just shit. It’s only 3 rounds. It has a gimmick points system and it’s not a world title. Take away the prize money and none of the guys would care. It’s quick easy cash though with all podium positions paying incredibly well. I enjoy watching it though. Just disagree with how they try to pump it up.

Just the Same as the triple crowns, nothing at all. Cool for the riders. Glad they get paid. Feel like it'll eventually lead to 20SX races a year and 10 nationals if not more (worse) so. Oh, and regional supercross titles don't count either... no-one says RC has 17 titles. He's a 15 time champ.

Agree, but Cole went in as the number 1 seed, Haiden did not. Had Haiden raced a couple of 450 supercross mains and placed top 10, he’d likely be the SMX champion right now. The points system is screwy and makes no sense.

9/27/2026 5:47am Next to Chad Reed starting 22 Motorsports, Jorge is probably the greatest example of self-belief and betting on one's self our sport has ever seen. Anther example that comes to mind is Brad Lackey going to Europe on a 10-year quest to become world champion when America wasn't even on the motocross map.
