You can beat Jett straight up??? Delusional.....
It's already happened, ball gargler...
"Finally"? Like a hundred people have said this already. This isn't revolutionary stuff here...
and honestly, no, I don't think Chase will be able to compete with the current top 3 if he stays at Kawasaki. You can't convince me there's not a fundamental issue with this gen Kawi for guys who are trying to run Jettson's pace. And dont start with the frickin "oh Marchbanks looks good!" Yeah that's like comparing a trophy truck to a damn rally car. Chase and Garrett could hardly get anymore different in build and riding style. So if he can't get out of his Kawi deal, man we're just gonna have to wait and see if he sticks around the sport long enough to get to a different brand. God knows the way the fans treat him won't make him want to stay.

I would have thought G and Chase are a similar size, Chase isn’t small.
Which race? Let’s re-watch and take everything in to account..
The speed that is up front right now , I think Chase will blame any bike if he is running around in p4-6.
If a 2015 RMZ 450 can win, certainly the KX 450 can at least podium.
Then you have all these other manufacturers. Shouldn't they be behind yellow and green on development?
And not just with the 450. Any of the 250s start going race winning speed and they grenade their rider also.
Chase should be able to podium on any factory race bike regardless of color. They aren’t that dissimilar. Figure the bike out, make some adjustments and ride the damn thing.
Did he really say Chase could be the biggest dissapointment of his generation ! WTF Ricky
Perfection
I think Rick said that to create emotion...maybe in Chase, and obviously in you. Stone cold truth is hard to swallow sometimes.
🤣
Truth…it’s Comedy & Tragedy
Send to 2-3 years MXGP with Marc de Reuver as coach and forget. There is no translation for "sugarcoating" in the Dutch dictionary.
I dont think the general public see's Chase' dad or understands the situation behind the scenes. Most people just see Chase wadding his brains out, jumping from honda to KTM to kawasaki, and the up and down results. He is a 450 SXand MX champion on different bikes. He has beat Jett straight up before. He went from 40th to 1st at hangtown.
Chase is every bit of talented as Jett, or anyone. However his family dynamic is not like the Lawerence family. Its not like the Deegans.
Those two families understood the same thing. Once their boys got to the premier level it was time to take a big step back, and let the team and their son take it from there.
Yes the fathers spent countless hours, days, YEARS, and ungodly amounts of money to help get their son to the upper echelon of the sport and their guidance worked! Up until a point.
If you dad is constantly in your head giving you bad advice, blaming the team, blaming the bike, telling you they dont know what they're doing, how does that help build and instill confidence in the rider? We all know the top guys are basket cases mentally. Again, RJ is more right than most people probably realize.
he realistically doesn't have a better choice.
he won't be riding this current gen bike when he gets back from injury rehab. It will be the 2027 model and some reports of changes made reflect things Chase and others were unhappy about. Get his mind and body right and hop on a brand new bike he doesn't have any bad experience on and who knows what will happen.
i remember back in the day (1981) when Yamaha had issues with their bikes.....Hannah bitched, pissed, and moaned they were no good; there was no development when he was out, et, al
but, Broc Glover kept his mouth shut and went to work. he and Jon R tested and tested and of all bikes got the big 490 working well enought to win a national title. it was the OW in 1981, but he also won titles on the YZ in 83 and 85 against David Bailey and the omnipotent RC Honda. Broc's open titles may have been the greatest acheivement in the history of AMA Motocross. if Broc could do that, why can't Chase take a modern Kawasaki and do the same thing?
getting tired of the excuses for and from team Sexton....RJ is right on the money
Pit Row
That might be the situation he’s in. We’ll see. If he’s got no other options then clearly what he’s been doing at Kawasaki hasn’t been working - the couple of wins notwithstanding. If he does end up somewhere else then what he’s been doing might not work there either. My mother used to tell me that there was no point trying to run from your problems because wherever you go you bring yourself with you.
Not to bash on RJ (had his poster on my wall in the 80s, dude was my hero), but I mean...he didn't really say much there. Let's hear something concrete. Specifics. A "sit down" with his inner circle? Really? That's gonna fix this?
Watched the vid and unlike most folks here , didn't see/hear anything eye opening from RJ about Sexton's situation that hasn't been said many times before. All RJ talked about was for Secxton to get his crew together for a come to god meeting...pfft , what kinda advise is that? To me it seemed more like an opportunity for RJ to get a bit of time in the lime light on a subject that has been talked about by everyone.
^^^RJ is just reflecting that Sexton has baffled everyone. He seemed to have so much potential, but now that belief is seriously waning. RJ’s unspoken advice is “The only possibility you have is having a ‘come to Jesus’ meeting since you’re probably not gonna make it back.”
I agree, I wasn't a fan of Brock at that time, but beating D.B. on a 490 is a bad ass thing to do.
lol, read what you wrote…Brian and Dazzy are more involved and more public with their involvement than what you hear about Chases dad, his practice bike mechanic. I’ve yet to see an interview with him but have heard plenty from Dazzy and Brian
Similar heights according to racerx but about 20lbs lighter. But thats probably inaccurate. So I could be wrong. But I digress. Different riding styles... people talk about Garrett being the "bulldog" riding style, the way Nicoletti puts it is Garrett rides like Tomac, wide open, slamming into bumps, pushing through everything. Chase was the epitome of smooth riding style, the Roczen method, before Jett moved up and put everyone else to shame. I can't believe it's a crazy theory to say that a bike that works for one guy won't work for another.
RJ is also kind of a attention whore, just look at when Hannah was taking his victory lap at Unadilla, RJ had to go run back and jump on his own bike to ride around with Hannah. But legend says RJ was also punched in the face by a fan while doing it. Some swear it happened other say it didn't.
That's what I'm talking about.
I don't agree with this take. Chase's first 250 sx title everyone says was gifted to him by Forkner getting hurt. I think they say the same thing about the 2nd title too despite Chase laying the smack down in the last couple of races in Salt Lake. He was never great outdoors on a 250. That changed when he got on the 450 and had that great season long battle with Tomac and ultimately lost. I think I remember most people saying he had a short window to win before Jett came and took over the class, and that turned out to be correct so far. I don't think anyone thought Chase was a generational talent on 250s. If anything he has overachieved from where he was projected the first couple of years he was a pro.
In chronological order, Chase beat Jett at:
(2023) Charlotte, (2024) SF, A2, Seattle, STL, Foxborough, SLC*, Hangtown* (SLC and Hangtown are half points because Jett was in championship mode in SLC and crashed his brains out at Hangtown), Southwick moto 2, Fort Worth SMX moto 2, (2025) A1, Washougal, Ironman moto 1.
Where are any details, videos, or interviews showing Chase's Dad did any of that?
