10/12/2026 3:35pm My brother has 150k on his Maverick and really likes it. It'll get 20+mpg on the highway with a bike, and 30 without. For the "it's not a real truck" guys, he also has a Dodge 4500 for heavy hauling.

Hahahaha! We get up, and go hunt in the morning. Then have lunch, and spin a few woods laps, then hunt the evening. The deer are used to the bikes, and unless you happen to jump one, they don't give 2 shit about them.

Cut down as few trees as possible to keep the noise and dust down and provide shade, make a turn track in the woods and ride it before you commit to anything major.

And 9 out of 10 people don't need it. When did it become mandatory for a new bike to need a suspension revalve before even riding it? A local lad, graduated from an 85SX, bought a brand new YZ125, BEFORE he'd even ridden it, he sent the suspension off to be re-valved. I asked him why? He couldn't tell me.. He's not over/under 'normal' teenager weight for a YZ125. He's not particularly fast. He's not particularly slow. He's not riding woods, he's not doing freestyle, he's not doing beach racing or anything out of the normal conditions to what that...

9/6/2026 9:08pm Are you sure about that? I figured they were just using DC voltage with pulse width modulation for speed control? Converting low voltage DC to AC you would have to up the voltage considerably to make any power in the motor.
