6/6/2026 1:13pm Probably difference in scales, but seems like most reported wet weights for the 300sx are 230-232lbs, so the kawi is right there weight wise.

6/5/2026 7:24pm Take off the electric start and efi it would probably be 220 wet. Seems most bikes gained 10-15 lbs with those additions.

It weights the same as a KTM TBI 250/300. KTM claims they weight 219 but most of the media has weighted them and published 233lbs.

6/5/2026 2:30pm Whenever these weight topics come up I think about ktms spokes breaking several years ago. The next gen gained weight, but the wheels stayed together. Or Rodger talking about machining things until they broke during testing, then backing it off a bit and moving on to the next part. 😅

6/5/2026 2:11pm SX300 is 231lbs, the kx327 claimed wet weight is 233.7lbs, that's pretty close. The carbureted kick start yz250 is 227lbs.

6/5/2026 2:03pm The bikes are fuel injected so this second injector shouldn't be required for fueling. Are they using it to cool the air via fuel evaporating before it gets down the intake? I know this is pretty big on carburators, my boat intake spacer sweats because it gets so cold.

You're assuming flat track has fewer injuries but the fact is that speed increases risk significantly, and flat track speeds are considerably higher than motocross. Fewer/smaller obstacles is going to increase the speed, leading more risk.
