We all need to remember there's a bunch of industry folks (along with all the random nobodies) that wouldn't blink at fucking over a dozen tracks if it means they get their bag. Integrity? Dear Vital, a lot of you dislike Cooksey Media. However, you got to give him credit where it's due when he puts himself in vulnerable positions by calling out people/companies that are detrimental to the sport. I don't think many of us would know the root cause of this track closure without him bringing it to Internet. It's beneficial to have a source of industry news that isn't paid by mainstream moto advertising.

Spooner can back me up on this. Dealers do have the ability to drop ship at a very reasonable rate. The problem is developing it and getting customers taught that all they have to do is call me and I can usually put it on your door for $10. Granted, Tires and big stuff does get a bit more but still very reasonable. I had racers going out of town last week and just had the parts delivered to the address (airbnb, hotel, track) that they needed. It's became so easy to just get on the internet that people forget...

I had Faulkner with me today and he actually mentioned the boot camp too but I didn’t remember that being a thing so it’s been a while! I’ve been to NWA a bunch, that was just the first time I took the boys with me.

For those concerned that the new DRZ gained weight, I think it's probably a couple things... The new bike has a big cat in the header pipe that that old version doesn't have, so the exhaust is probably 5-10 lbs heavier on this new bike. Then there's the ABS lines and other stuff that the new bike has, that adds some weight, which the old bike didn't have. Also, traction control, and probably additional emissions stuff all adds more weight. Most will yank that exhaust off and probably save 10 lbs right there, and many will also remove some/all of...

It's still more dualsport than the plated dirt bikes. Suzuki fortunately was wise enough to keep the 2 quart oil capacity. We don't know yet until more details are out, but looking at diagrams of all the engine parts that have changed also shows a few cogs that are not the same. 5 speeds are not great for the street, but they can be made to do well with proper ratios and I prefer them off road.
