A lot of times the broadcast seems like it is about itself and the racing is secondary. I usually watch on mute because the commentary is so distracting, but there isn't any getting around all the stupid picture in picture stuff they're doing.

I just wanna say thanks for making gear that isn't scared to be different. I'm so tired of the same old slap a logo on the front, have 1-2 colors on it and calling it a day. You guys make gear that I actually want to wear. It probably won't appeal to a lot of older fellas, but thats why they have Fly, FXR, and Fasthouse. Keep doing your thing, noticing a lot of younger people wearing it, its working.

This forum (and sport for that matter) isn’t exactly known for being synonymous with top tier design. I’m a full time artist myself, and some gear companies do a pretty ok job for the most part but this sport is making gear for an audience of middle class straight men between the age of 12-50. Historically that audience has the least sensible eye for fashion. I feel it's will be 250 mx bike with an off road variant, just like the yz250 and its x brother. It will be efi and kickstart. Maybe they will offer a 300 Cc top end package like KTM to appeal to an even broader market.

Josh, I am SHOCKED nobody has brought up the cat gear yet 😆 I've actually been part of a couple live deployments like JT did and it definitely does suprise you because its unbelievably fast when it goes off. I haven't crashed with one but know a million people that have and many times during the crash you don't even know it went off because with all the tumbling and violence of the crash many times you don't even notice. Also I know they are designed to only go off on "big ones" so little tip overs and stuff it...

Yeah I'm pretty torn on the airbag in off road, for exactly the reason that you mentioned. I mean, Alpinestars (and others, spec. the company that provides the tech for several brands) has logged years of R&D into this product before coming to market and most of us have seen it in action in MotoGP, so I am 100% confident that they know what they are doing. But...I feel like I personally would ride more cautiously, and not in a good way, just waiting for the thing to pop. Might just be my own anxiety creeping in 😆

You should have released that chad reed digital camo gear in 04'! To the topic, Astars has development going on lighter weight , less bulky airbag system that top guys have been testing. All the safety equipment in the world won't help if riders dont want to wear it.
