Funny you mention this, I was talking with an old riding friend from the 80s earlier today and he actually said the same thing and that he would only watch the highlights and not waste his time watching the whole thing due to the BS last week.

Honda has very deep pockets. Comparatively, the AMA doesn't even have pants on, let alone pockets. And Feld have no say in this as they are a promoter, not the governing body that makes and enforces the rules. I hope Honda take this as far as they need to, to make the AMA grovel and come back with their tail between their legs and apply the correct penalties. This whole thing could have been avoided but some pompous prick with an AMA shirt didn't want to be embarrassed for missing 2 obvious infractions.

Let me get this right. It used to be a rule violation if you jumped on a red cross flag or flashing red light. Now, in the 250 class it's okay to jump on a flashing red light as long as there's no red cross flag shown. In the 450 class it's okay to jump on a red cross flag as long as a flashing red light is not shown. Did I get that correct?

The lights were on for both Jo and Pierce, only Jo rolled. The cross flag was shown for Hunter, Eli and co, all jumped except Hunter.

Lewis is the only journalist who I feel like could adequately grill the decision makers on this. He needs to get all people who were involved in making this decision in front of a camera immediately and start asking questions. This is seriously insane that no penalties are being handed out. I like Pierce on a personal level and am happy for him, so this isn’t about my favorite rider not winning. It’s about consistency with the rules and fairness for all riders.

There's been a number of calls that ive seen over the years that aren't cut and dry, this situation couldn't be more clear. You dont jump on a red light, Pierce jumped on a red light... What the actual F is so hard to understand, the AMA just has to follow their rules. The rules that dont say, "Do not jump on a red light.. unless you know, you think it's ok".

It should be a full-course caution. Everybody slows to a crawl at the same time. Must hold position. Everybody goes green at the same time. You know? Like F1 Virtual Safety Car? Or any other closed course racing? This is so bush-league.
