Agree, it would make no sense business wise. Why would a promoter fork out an extra $100k, for any rider, just weeks before a nearly sold out event? All that would do is deplete their profits. Well done ML for getting the facts, providing all sides, and clearing up what amounts to little more than a storm in a tea cup. Big nothing burger.

The narrative certainly played into Deegans angle of creating talk and hype regardless of whether it’s substantiated. Sucks the Lawrence’s are once again on the receiving end of a complicated story where most won’t read into the details and will just boo at opening ceremonies because it’s easier than understanding nuance.

Here’s an out of this world thought. Maybe the Lawrence’s haven’t said anything because there’s nothing to say? Or if this is all true they don’t feel the need to feed social media? Best I can tell this kind of drama benefits the ones who live their lives on social media.

I spoke to Adam Bailey and Eric Peronnard, they claim there was never an agreement in place for Deegan to race the event. Eric’s exact response was “I never had Deegan on the roster” I’m not going to read through the whole thread, but Anderson admitted already he was never planning on going (Kawasaki won’t allow it) but he commented for fun / stroke the flames.

So after 9 pages we’ve got: Deegan never intended to race the AusX Open. Ando never intended to race the AusX Open. The AusX Open promoters never asked Deegan or Ando to attend. The Lawrence camp may, or may not, have said they didn’t want Deegan or Ando at the AusX Open. Much ado about nothing. Is it A1 time yet?

Wait, so I’m supposed to believe that deegan (who supposedly cant race anyways right now coming off surgery), and was never mentioned even in passing EVER that he would be riding in australia, and ando who was also never mentioned in any promo that he would be racing in australia… and one of them doesnt even ride in the 450 class and the other one hasnt even been within a mile of jett and hunter all year, are being blocked from going to australia by the lawrences…. for… reasons? Makes no sense. The only thing that is for certain is...
