Project bike. Usually pick up an old and abused bike in the fall when someone is unloading it so they don't have to look at it all winter. I spend the next few months giving it the love it should have had and then move it on to a good home in the spring. Not full restorations, but good cleaning & servicing. Making the bolts right. Repaint frames. That kind of stuff.

I stand in front of hockey pucks all winter, which means I spend half of it with my groin pulled. Beer league champs though!

We have nothing around here. I have been taking advanced track training that the state offers to get some riding in.

When i made the switch from dirt to asphalt I started with a mini SM. That bike was a blast Ran a race in the spring on my 400 with Canadian Supermoto, down a bit on power but had fun! My young lad loves it, doesn't want to ride dirt at all anymore really
I've been thinking for a while that this is going to be the answer. Gas stations will have large charging banks, kind of like a propane tank exchange type deal. You pay, swap your batteries out for fresh ones, and put yours into the charging bank. Between that and BYD's sodium based technology, electric is beginning to become a lot...

That kid is going to be special, exceptional talent there. Turned the Moto3 championship into a snoozer points wise, but the racing has been fantastic. Moto2 and MotoGP look like they're going to go down to the wire. Phillip Island next, for the last time unfortunately, which sucks because its my favourite track to watch, and IMO the best motorcycle...
Not expensive, but painful. We're finishing the basement in our house. Bought flooring for $2500, some decent padded LVT click stuff. Didn't want to pay the $2500 for installation, so i started doing it myself. Got a quarter of the way done doing it after work, then had a big crash, fractured tibia, bruised femur, and bursitis on the other...
I had a big crash last Friday road racing, hobbled into my kids hockey practice the next day and the other parents all looked at me like i had a death wish. Until you've felt it, hit that big send, grabbed that holeshot, made that dive down the inside, you'll never understand it. Hard to say whether we're stupid, or...

Everything's going towards twins now. Lower RPMs, lower maintenance and manufacturing costs. They sound like shit though, nothing beats the round of a 600cc 4 cylinder screaming by on the straight. The only exception being 2-strokes, I'e watched that video of Kenny Roberts riding the TZ750 at the Indy Mile about 1000 times just to hear that thing scream

A this point there isn't even any shock value to this shit. Its just exhausting. Call it what you like, we aren't changing shit. Its this completely inconsequential BS that Trump loves that gets in the way of getting actual work done. Its not "trolling" nobody is "triggered" we're fuckin tired man.

From what the test riders have been saying, it seems like the new era is going to be much closer, without being much slower. I like the reduced aero, makes closer following possible. I like the switch to Pirelli tires, Michelin has been awful I like the banning of holeshot devices and lowering devices, brings skill back to the starts.

Yeah I don't want to go that crazy because if i kick off an arms race with the other parents in his class we're going to end up severely outgunned and outspent, so no custom stuff for me. He's probably only going to race it 5 more times max before moving up to the Ohvale I bought earlier this summer.

That's what I've read too. I ordered a Nibbi 17mm carb for it and we're going to do a little in house porting. See if that makes up the difference
