Do you have a rock climbing gym near you? Bouldering is pretty fun, and is a good full body workout. Works the mind and body well. Also a good way to shoot the shit and hang with friends around an activity, it's kind of like skateboarding where you can take turns on a route/line. I'm not very good at it, but I still enjoy it.

Seriously, though, I'm trying to remember the last time I saw snow, I think it was about 45 years ago. Wow 😲

We are the opposite of you guys. It's finally riding season after the FURNACE has been turned off. It goes from frickin' blazing hot to perfect.

This is my third ride on this 300 after I got it back around May. It's a 23XC and had 13 hours on it. She now has 20.

I have to say the bike can be a handful and it keeps you more on your toes than my 350 and I was riding it today in the white mode. It was too slippery for the aggressive green button! 😲 I did try it, as we were headed back to the trucks on some open road. And damn this bike RIPS!

I think I need to get a new seat. Any of you guys have suggestions?

I’ve been real happy with GUTS as a cover. They have a ribbed option that will hold you in place and not let you slide back, or at least your pants. If you wear your pants pretty loose your ass might still move back!!!
I haven’t tried a full seat replacement from them though, just a new cover. FYI, if you do a cover you will need a decent stapler, probably pneumatic. A regular Home Depot spring type staple gun won’t get it done.

It's not the cover I need to replace it's the padding. Even though it feels soft, pressing it down with your hand by the end of a 65 mile ride, my butt was pretty sore, but then so is my whole body. 😂  I'm just out of riding shape as it's been the first ride in about 5 months.

Yup, saw that on your follow up post. Hate to say it but I think you’re on the right track about being in riding shape. Standing more definitely helps on longer rides. I feel the same at the beginning of riding season as well.

I stand in front of hockey pucks all winter, which means I spend half of it with my groin pulled.

Beer league champs though!

Project bike.

Usually pick up an old and abused bike in the fall when someone is unloading it so they don't have to look at it all winter. I spend the next few months giving it the love it should have had and then move it on to a good home in the spring.

Not full restorations, but good cleaning & servicing. Making the bolts right. Repaint frames. That kind of stuff.

We've officially reached the point of baseball 365 days a year . Most weeks my son has something related to baseball 3 or 4 times a week between clinics and off season practices.  He does 100 push ups a day so I like to join him for those to try and get some kind of excersise in when im not being his chauffeur. My younger self would be so disappointed in my lack of carefree activities.

Fishing isn't much of an option where I'm at and in the past I've found that ice fishing involves more beer drinking than it does catching fish. Ain't got a musical bone in my body and I don't think that will scratch the itch I have for escaping and the same goes for drawing. I'm already lifting and uh am happily married.

Really looking for a winter activity that provides the escape of moto. Maybe its tennis or basketball. Something that forces you to focus and eliminates other distractions.

It’s fun hitting dimes at 250’. Plus, pellets are cheap.

Alright

 What's my best budget gun..

I can make the Gamos shoot consistant... I have a squirrel problem.

I posted some pictures of sumwifes stained glass panels for a door she’s making in the tradesman post but figured it’s more of a hobby than a job so switched them to here.  Here’s the latest door panel IMG 1575 5

I have a Gamo Silent Cat. I threw a scope on it rated for break barrel pellet guns. Because of the spring kicking forward, I destroyed a couple of nicer scopes before figuring it out. Go with Crossman domed pellets. They’re heavier and seem to be more accurate than the lighter wad cutters or, field points.

Take some time dialing in the scope. Once you do, that little budget gun is accurate as hell.

I'll look at my gun tonight and let you know what I have. *It is a break barrel / spring gun as well, so this gives me hope that it is just a scope issue...

I’ll see what scope I have and, let you know. It might be the pellets as well. If the skirt it out of shape, that’s also an issue with pellets.

If I shoot anything but Gamo pellets they go all over the place like there's no rifling in the barrel. It's just too fast for normal pellets.
