Added reply in a thread Who will JGR have next year? 7/22/2019 10:53 AM

I think you misunderstand non-profit. Doesn't mean the organization can't make money, just means it can't be given to the owners (as there aren't any owners) and has to be used as described in the by laws. They don't have to run a break even organization ... more »

Just understand it's not a sim. I actually really like the ground physics, I find it fairly realistic (and for anyone bitching about the turbo clutch, have you never ridden a two stroke?). The in-air physics however are completely out to lunch lol. Game ... more »

I think a 250 year old example qualifies as outdated.

My guess/hypothesis would be that when the engine is firing it's under extremely high pressure which forces the rings against the cylinder wall to create the seal, wiping any residual oil down towards the crank. When it's on the way back up they won't ... more »

Added reply in a thread Southwick 250/450 Laptimes. 7/2/2019 7:45 PM

I think it's just a symptom of the motor not being a limiting factor any more. The 250 provides 99% of the Power one can use and the 450 provides 120% off the Power one can use. The suspension, traction, g forces, etc and how the rider adapts to them ... more »

You do have to let it roll for a second or so for it to count I think

Added reply in a thread Mad Skills MX taking a break? 7/1/2019 7:20 AM

I'll give you a tip, all you have to do is start the race. So hit the gas, fhen hit the restart button. Took me about 10 minutes to do the 1000 races.

I think that about covers it. Maybe some complaining about how wages haven't kept up with inflation (usually from the guys with a 6bedroom house, RV, boat, etc)

On the broadcast they were saying the medical crews couldn't get around, so if a rider went down they might not be able to get to him, get him off the track, etc. Not sure how accurate that is, but it would make sense as a safety issue.

Added reply in a thread Is the Green flag necessary anymore? 6/17/2019 1:11 PM

I guess having the green eliminates some potential confusion. Someone could miss the red flag and think it's a no flag ie: good start. Probably not really necessary, but I'm not sure there's a downside either.

300K lbs isn't unheard of. Toyota did their space shuttle tow a few years back, and every so often one truck company or another does a plane pull stunt. Just drop it in low gear and away you go.
