Well last year when Deegan didn't go Bobby Regan himself said it wasn't about the money. I find it hard to believe if Tomac was selected that the would refuse to go. I don't disagree with you about trying to find a better way to finance the MXoN effort. However when you try to take as objective a look as possible at last year, this year and all the circumstances, the explanation that best fits everything we know is that Deegan doesn't want to race MXoN unless he thinks he is on a winning team; in this case believing that...

So Deegan is racing east coast, that needs to be a given now. If he shows up racing west coast, when he could have switched to east and represented his country that is a new all time low of poor excuses not going to mxon.

Deegan represents an ugly side of US culture that I'm seeing a lot more of in recent years. People like Deegan will wave the American flag when it serves his own interests, but as soon as he has to step up and represent America, he's no where to be seen. Props to Chase, Plessinger, and Hymas. Can't wait to see them line up!

Just a total hypothetical bench racing topic, but how do you guys think 2024 Deegan would fare against 2023 Hunter Lawrence on the 250? Obviously, we saw them battle for a championship in real life last season, and Hunter had the edge in both speed and consistency at a majority of the rounds. However, Deegan has been a considerably better rider this season than last. I voted that it would be neck and neck. Haiden looks faster now, but Hunter's speed is deceptive. He's very smooth and I feel like he's more strategic as well. He'd still be tough to beat.

So does USA…. Is HRC on a shoestring budget? Edit: I will give you guys credit, you do always show up and never really get a home race. Although a home race for AUS still means most of your riders have to travel a ways anyway

From a British point of view A. He’s barely rode outdoors for the last 2 seasons so I don’t think anyone was expecting him to ride it anyway B. Not that it matters, but there's a few other reasons there's not much upset.. First, Max isnt' even guaranteed to get picked anyway because he's barely ridden this year compared to other options. Second, this is a US-based site so there really aren't all that many Brits on here to get a decent sample size of how fans here may feel. It's been explained over and over the reason Deegan gets criticised is because he was going on the podium and using patriotic rhetoric, which you would think meant he'd be first in line to represent his country..
