Sounds like he’s still VERY sore.. Having to compensate with using his legs more than usual. Riding so conservative that he can’t be himself out there. Fighting for moto wins that are usually, when he’s healthy, a lot easier to ride…& win. So, he’s probably a bit pissed. I get it. Can’t blame him in the slightest. He’s still kicking ass.

I love watching him race...and then cringe when he talks. I just wish he could get a "handler" that would help him with the subtle art of professionalism.

Here he is healthy and happy at 33lbs, sitting in the passenger seat of my pickup, ready to go somewhere, probably our afternoon nature walk. Leave a car door open and he would jump in an give you a look like, "we are going somewhere right?" Sadly, he was run over and killed out front of our house a couple years ago but we gave him another 5 years of love an attention and he was fiercely loyal.

People who know anything about japanese culture should know that the correct term would be ”conservative” not stubborn. They stick to what they know, for both good and bad.

Why does everyone feel the need to declare whether they are a fan of somebody when making an observation? Personally I am a fan of all these guys although I do root for some more than others. I don't love anyone dominating but I really appreciate the skill level of a guy like Jett who can achieve it.

I don't know. I'd reckon Jett would be backing himself to finish 1-1 or maybe 1-2, and Hunter would be aiming for top 5's both motos. With the Olympic scoring system and those scores, that is more valuable than another couple of top 5's on a 250. It's going to be the challenge for Australia over the next five years or so to find a third rider who can hold up an end at MXoN. Would be a waste of the opportunity if we couldn't bag at least one MXoN in the next few years with the Lawrences.

To me it’s kinda different if it’s one sided. Tom isn’t going to play into the games, he’s made that clear. To me it just makes Haiden look like an idiot when he’s trying so hard to provoke Tom with no effect. Tom is just out there to do his job and be professional. Haiden’s behavior is just kinda “weird kid” energy…

Love watching the kid ride but listening to him speak is tough, everything is click baity drivel. Unreal on the bike though. He’s gonna be a tough SOB in this sport for awhile. He has the kind of attitude on the bike the sport will need to take on Jett/Prado/Sexton. Will be interesting to see now that he’s really had a taste of winning what happens when he runs into some adversity.
