No reason they couldn’t have put good tracks in instead (Portimao, Turkey, Imola, Hockenheim). All the ME tracks are bollocks anyway.

Les frogs are a rediculous team, my favourite to watch in all my 47 years of watching rugby so I don’t agree there’s a gap there between them and the saffas other than the one created by them being… well… French. Having seen how the football world cup has gone I can’t see it being long before the IRB start...

Mixed for me. Layout and terrain seems great. Having deep soil that creates deep, very hard, ruts on the straits would be one of my least favorite preps. Kind of reminds me of some of Lakewood preps a few years ago. Trying to make naturally hard soil soft rarely works well. It can be done over a long period, meaning years. I’m fine with natural hard packed tracks. This looked ugly to me during qualis. First motos today seemed better? I have not watched second. Did appear to be a good crowd, that’s a plus.

I think you’re being a bit kind there Boom, we are coming off the back of a golden generation right now and that score is a fair reflection where we are. Team of kids and middling talent older players very much in transition. The coach can only work with what he has available, which currently ain’t much!!! We are improving...

I may be in the minority but I really dislike that they make these tracks an entire rutfest

Jesus, track looks worse than I was expecting. Although at the same time that's how track prep is for clubs week in week out over here as well so it probably shouldn't be a surprise. Slot car-tastic.

I’m with you. If they had left it just chalk there wouldn’t be any deep ruts but still would have been technical in its own way.

England get an opportunity for some payback later today playing Argentina in the rugby. We meanwhile are probably about to get a kicking off South Africa who are scary good at the minute. No flopping around guaranteed…

To be fair, that's also the detriment of most Welsh and Scottish sides is that they beat England then switch off against everyone else. I'm a bit of an outlier that I'd swap one win against NZ for three against England in rugby terms, but that does go away somewhat when the anthems start up!!

' In rugby England has the players and resources that other countries can only dream of' As they do in Football, which I think along with the pressure, expectation and media focus weighs heavily when the pressure is on. Clive Woodward, and to a slightly lesser to extent Gareth Southgate, were able to change that psychological mindset, prevent self doubt from creeping, made the players believe they were capable of beating the best and it lifted standards. What Wales, Ireland and Scotland have achieved in Rugby in recent years has been fantastic - Argentina and Italy as well - but...

I agree that England aren't a top tier team but to be fair that's irrelevant to the subject of my post. You say that '' Only if they fall behind, they'll ease up on the kicking, teasing and provocations'' but the worst of their behaviour happened after the game ended, when they paraded the Malvinas banner and threw a racist slur at Jude Bellingham. They are hated in the rest of Latin America for that reason.

The thing is, it's very 'English' for you guys to blame the managers when this happens, yet it happens in every major tournament and it also happens in other sports. In rugby England has the players and resources that other countries can only dream of, you should by rights be a top three side every single year and yet consistently...

I shouldn’t have to remind you on this Boom, but any rugby fan worth their salt doesn’t cry when we lose. You shake hands with the opposing team and then go drink their supporters under the table afterwards. Unless it’s England, then there’s a day of mourning followed by a year of telling everyone you see in a white jersey...

You do realise that that application means Folarin Balogun is actually American and eligible to play for team USA right? Otherwise he would've been English.

The outrage isn’t aimed at Balogun or at the red card (which in itself was indeed unfair), but at the precedent that’s being created. Other players have also been wrongly sent off and suspended in the past (even in this tournament), but they served their suspensions like everyone else. They just never got this kind of leniency. Now that this is being overturned because of political interference is simply wrong. Aren’t Americans always all about justice? Imagine if Lukaku had received a red card and suddenly was allowed to play again out of nowhere, 24 hours before the actual game...
