I would be interested to know what people think the response should be to a future pandemic with an unquantified mortality rate. Wait and see? Carry on as normal as it’ll probably turn out to be nothing? Don’t bother developing a vaccine, or wait five years before rolling out that vaccine while people die in their thousands? It’s easy to be wise after the event. Serious question. If you were in charge, how would you handle it?

I don't think it should be an either/or when it comes to fossil fuels and other forms of generation. Ideally it would be a mix of several different sources and the source would be determined by conditions. I grew up with massive amounts of hydro power. It was/is fantastic from a pure dollar standpoint. It wasn't the greatest thing for the ecosystem in some ways, but it was a tradeoff. I'm definitely glad that the hydro producers worked and worked on ways to mitigate the issues, especially the fish run elimination, but the costs were pretty damn big in order...

If Trump is a threat to the deep state he sure isn’t doing a very good job of holding them accountable in any way. I’m confused too. People are mad at Fauci for creating a virus that killed millions. But the virus was actually all a hoax. And if it wasn’t, it was no worse than a cold anyway. And anyone that died of Covid actually died of something else and only died ‘with’ Covid. Or they were old, so meh… And in any case, it certainly was nothing to be scared of, or take any preventative measures against (other than horse wormer). But they’re still mad at Fauci for creating that fake virus. Or maybe they’re mad at him for creating a vaccine...

Don't we all believe that we 'think for ourselves'? The problems start when we automatically believe that anyone who doesn't agree with our conclusions or viewpoints must not be able to think for themselves.

Thanks, but I have about as much faith in the things that RFK Jr says as you have faith in Obama....... Actually, probably a lot less. I am serious about what the specifics are. To put in “I bet your bad is proud of you” is pretty pathetic. Even the trolling is incompetent. Socialism and Communism is now people who think everyone should have healthcare that doesn’t cost a future or wanting a good education that doesn’t put them in debt or actually caring about the welfare of others. We do seem to have Socialism for billionaires and corporations though but just not for everyone.
