Still blows me away that the power these people have over everyone funding their business venture.

People with money and power have been destroying things and calling it "change" since there was money, and power...and ALWAYS to increase their money and power.

Too bad the Riders cant charge Feld a fee, after all the photos and vids are of them. Also the manufactures and aftermarket should be able to charge Feld a fee for using their products for thier promotions. The product is the racing and machines/parts etc...not the actual brodcast etc....the idea dirtbking is a grass roots sport is in a dilema, with costs to be a fan and weekend warrior on the track or trails has to be pushing families out.

I cannot wait for Weege's & Co's take on this. On a serious note, absolutely mind boggling that people at Feld have come to the conclusion that this is a good idea and will improve their product and/or make them more money. Absolutely insane. One thing is for sure, this will completely change the way race weekends are consumed from my POV. And i will never buy the international stream package again, the free streams will do for me going forward. And i hope Vital and others put more of the budget towards covering other series, like the GPs.

Hold on... Does this mean the end of The Weege Show?...The Twisted Tea Best Damn post race show?....post race video interviews like what Swapmoto and vital does?...Raw press day riding and video interviews? Is this $1000/minute fee limited to on track stuff or no filming in the pits too? What about Vurb filming the Pulpmx privateer race? Lots of questions. Hopefully our guy ML can supply the answers after to days meeting with Feld.

Seems like they don't care if the sport dies as long as they make a quick buck on the way out

I'm guessing these fees will kill a lot of the privateer YouTube vlogs. Privateers trying to get as much exposure as possible for the guys that help them go racing, nope, we can't have that. 🙄 For the factory teams/riders it's just another expense/write off. Sucks, but they have deeper pockets. IMO, it's still not right.

Feld only cares about money. Feld does not care one iota about our sport. Feld will burn our sport to the ground if it makes them a few extra bucks then move on to the next thing . We all know this.

Feld: we are trying to grow the sport Also Feld: let’s get rid of whoops, dragons backs, over under bridges, use less dirt, and have no media..

When are the OEMs going to take a stand? It sounds like they are letting Feld push them around on everything, whether it's the media restrictions, last weekend with the manager bans, or broadly the lack of revenue capture from the SMX/NBC deal

The content you put out from the races is free advertising for Feld and MX Sports events. And now they’re going to charge you to do it? Can they not see past the end of their nose?

I'd argue it used to be bigger. They had MC-pastrana and MC-RC racing sx though the halls of leno. You'd never see that now.

I’m safe because we have a diverse viewership, good content structure, and great advertising partners. We can pivot when needed to and we’ll change up our content if we need to. “Part of the machine” That machine has vilified me this year. Being at the races hasn’t been fun experience this year.

Incorrect, you can make this sport extremely professional without the nickel and diming of everyone. If you want to make it professional? The AMA needs to be consistent, the riders have to have a say in the tracks, the tv production need a major revamping. Those are the things that companies notice. Not a bunch of red tape

A lot of the same people complaining about this are also the people complaining that the sport needs to be more professional. Like it or not, this is what professional series do. Not any joe schmoe with a YouTube channel can get credentialed for a Napcar race, nor any pro stick/ball event. This is part of the price of so called progress. I don't like it, but that's because I like the honestly amateur level that our sport lives at. The accessibility directly correlates with the relatability to the common racers. Get fast enough and even with minimal support you...
