I have tried to tell lots of people on Vital if you buy HRC triple clamps, you need to make sure you get the HRC bearing races for the frame. The HRC bearings, the HRC bearing seals. You will need all those items just to use the titanium HRC stem. Then ... more »

For what the shaft is doing it really doesn’t make that much differents, just about anything will work. My thought was 4140 and case hardened because that what most transmission shafts are. You could use Ti , you could use stainless. There really aren’t ... more »

Yes you could make them out of tool steel, when heat treated it will be hard all the way thru, which isn’t what you want. You just want the surfaces hard. That also why you case harden the 4140. The problem with hardening thru with tool steel, it isn’t ... more »

It’s probably 4140 steel, probably just case hardened ! You could do titanium but it will wear out, if you just went with 6-4 Ti you would need a heat treatable titanium to make it right. Beta C maybe! Expensive material! But also Ti galls really badly ... more »

The outside of the forks is just an anodize nothing special, the inside are kashima coated . Not nicasil. The Geico forks are just a set of a kit forks!

The CR125 had RC valve starting in 2000, they just didn’t have a cover on the left side that said RC valve.

TCR makes a hub for Honda’s , but TCR does not make hubs for HRC. Anyone can buy a TCR hub, it looks similar to a HRC hub, but it not. HRC hubs are dropped forged then machine and are made out of 7075 aluminum. TCR hubs are just made out of billet 6061. ... more »
