The title says it: non-moto is following the path of the moto-related section for the future (call this a trial period).
There will be no political threads allowed going forward, no political commentary, etc.
I'm completely over the same users arguing in circles and breaking basic guidelines on how to treat each other. It's like dealing with children, so the toy is being taken away.
I know it will take about a day or so for this to catch up to some of you, but I'm not going to give much leeway. First strike from here on out is a multi-week suspension; second strike (once back in from strike one) will be a minimum two-month suspension, and strike three will be a permanent ban.
Will we lift this in the future? I don't know, but I don't expect to for at least the remainder of 2026.

Another forum I am a participant in has a complete separate section just for the political crap. You have to be a member to see it (can't be a lurker) and nothing that is posted there will show up on the front end with the newest posts.

Probably for the better. Politics ruins everything . I had really hoped the common love of moto would allow for more in-depth conversions without the dumb assumptions and attacks that people make in the real world And to be able to really learn from each other . But I saw that not even the love of moto helps . And I know I'm not innocent of saying some dumb stuff myself.
I've been avoiding political stuff everyplace except for here, so it will be healthy for me to totally ignore the BS for a while and focus more of trying to be helpful with my posts. Sorry for any part my posts have played in this ban ML . I can not imagine the headache it is at times to try and keep this place going. Thank You for all that You do!

You have to opt into politics. They have a Non Hunting section where politics is not allowed and any thread...., anywhere on the message board gets political it is moved to "politics".

I remember around 10th grade our teacher told us that democrat politicians had a tendency to come from the legal/ judiciary side of things and republican politicians came from a business background and it was at that point I realized there was no hope for the United States and it was only a matter of time until we ate ourselves. Serious question, "I had really hoped the common love of moto" if this is your driving thought, why are you not more planted in "moto"? Why should that be anymore of a reason in "nonmoto" to agree on anything than gathering up all blue car owners and expecting them to agree on anything other than a car color? The whole point of nonmoto is other subjects than moto. Sometimes we do talk moto as it's a shit show over moto side. Here you only have to tolerate about half a dozen agitators vs over there, it's 10 fold. My suspicion is, ML is overwhelmed right now and this one change will allow him to focus all his attention on "moto" right now. Due to family health issues I've stayed out of the political topics for quite a few months. But if you look at the list of topics discussed, we've actually been very light on the political ones recently. Which is why the timing is odd. Unless ML expects an explosion of politics with upcoming elections.
