Because the initial aggressor in any conflict deserves to have their ass kicked, not kissed.

Pretty sure if somebody invaded the US, we wouldn’t concede shit. Ukraine shouldn’t either.

I see what you mean about it being different with unconditional surrender and the stakes being different with nuclear forces. However, appeasement was largely what led to WW2 in the first place. I'm not sure what concessions Putin is going to get that will deter him from invading another country in the future.

Putin defnitely needs some from of punishment. The guy sent his troops over a sovereign border with the goal of capturing territory, including an attack on the capital. However, I disagree that there's an inherent need for both sides to feel some pain. What if there was a need for America to have some pain in the surrender of Japan...

I guess Ukraine is seriously regretting giving up it's nukes based on Russia and the US guaranteeing they'd never be invaded by the former right about now...
Agreed, the difference between his handling of Gaza and Ukraine is stark

agreed, if Biden, and now Trump had untied Ukraine's hands and let them go after Putin, it would be a whole different negotiation

Kongols may need to sit down… And here’s why… Because, I think he’s right. We need to tell Russia that Ukraine is keeping all territories that it’s taken…& that’s just for getting started. The Donbas needs to be “occupied” by Neutral Forces/U.N. …whatever….until this is all sorted. Russia needs to be financially penalized for losses to Ukraine, Europe…etc. Russian war allies…China, Iran, North Korea…etc. need to be penalized…etc., etc., etc.

The way I see it, someone who: - Has close affiliation with the federal government, - Has a vested interest in negotiating benefits from the Chinese government, - Is extremely pro AI and keen to train it (as well as his social media algorithm) on large data sets of personal behaviour, and; - Is literally working on chips to insert...
Putin knows two things about Trump... 1. He know that Trump wants nothing more than to be considered "impressive" by people like himself. 2. He knows that Trump doesn't earn respect, he "buys it". Therefore, Putin will ask Trump for something ( here's your chance to impress me), Trump will give it to him ( because he wants to appear impressive), and then Putin will do whatever the fuck he wants because he has zero respect for people he can play as easily as he's playing Trump. After fishing like this for decades, Putin finally caught his prize winning fish.

He sorta missed the part about ending the war in 1 day 😂 Reports are that he's going to put Tariffs on Russia 😂

The biggest problem I see is that both Trump and Putin have enormous egos and they cannot be seen as weak. This means the odds that they come to an agreement that makes them both look like alpha males is slim to none. My guess is that, sadly, negotiations will fail, and the administration will slowly give less attention to it and distract people with other craziness, allowing Putin to gain the upper hand and roll over the country. And then probably move on to the next.
