Speaking of Elon and SpaceX, I just took this from my backyard. That bright spot in the vapor trail is Venus. Kinda cool how it lined up.

He going to save greater than a Trillion for the Taxpayers of America. $1,000,000,000,000.00 crazy amounts of wasted moneys in government. Yet taxpayers completely fleeced. This applies to levels of government federal, state, provincial, municipal, city. Need this audit style done everywhere. Congrats America for being bold.

Is he going to spend it rebuilding Gaza?

He has no roll in spending.

That would be the no-term-limit left & right side of the aisle crooks that have been screwing America  for the past 50 years while they get filthy rich.

Defense contractors share prices will take a hit when Elon starts looking at Pentagon expenditure.

So are you saying he should protest against investigating Pentagon waste to protect his 401k?

Not at all, he commented about politicians benefiting financially...

He also suffered from it in 2008 most likely.

Any decent fund manager will have plenty of lead time to make adjustments. It won't be like the 2008 crash. I'd say any decent fund manager is already well into their homework concerning the possibility.

The same people who demanded to see Trumps tax returns are the same people who don’t want you to know where tax payer money goes.

Too late, all the large defense contractors share prices have retracted 20-30% since October.

No, but I just wonder how long before politicians on both sides of the aisle are affected and start pushing back.

If you look at the YTD they haven't lost much, and Raytheon seems high.

I bet part of the reason the politicians are making so much noise now is to see if there is much effect on the market and move accordingly.

They miraculously know when to buy, they will also miraculously know when to sell 🙂

No, I agree, but isn't it interesting how they all seemed to peak around election time, then drop off.

Since then they have lost a fair amount, but YTD not so much.

So what might (Per Wee Herman voice - MIGHT DOTTIE!! MIGHT!!) lie under that was a quick pump and then return to near normal, so the average investor doesn't see much change but some in the know folks had a good payday.

I do get what you are saying though, but government waste and corruption has been growing like cancer for 6 decades or more. We may all experience some pain from removing it, but the long term prognosis would increase immensely.

In all of this what seems to get lost on this chasing out waste, is who was ultimately responsible for the waste to begin with. That is fine if they get rid of wasteful spending, but whoever blatantly wastes millions of taxpayers' dollars should be held responsible as well. If a congressman or bureaucrat is responsible for wasting our money, they should be called out on it publicly. If people are involved in this shit, the gloves should be off, and people who screwed over taxpayers should get fucked over. These entitled, elitists, royalty pricks who have put my grandkids into insurmountable debt unashamedly should be punished. I am tired, like a lot of people, of the "government" creating problems, bullshit it is the people running the government. Who are they, what did they do, and how can they be held accountable or punished, rather than just some anonymous cutting of funds.

The thing about the "Elon wasn't elected" shit that is so unbelievable is that the people spouting off this drivel actually believe that there was a time, anytime, when all the people who had control over the average man's life were actually chosen by the average man. I follow history pretty religiously and I cannot think of any time in history when that was actually true. There are plenty of representations of governments chosen by the people but these elected officials always appoint administrators who wield regulations and rules or make arbitrary decisions that affect people based upon their responsibility. That cop that accused you of speeding, guess what, you didn't elect him. As well as the people who regulate pesticides, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, run our national forests, the environmental regulations, safety features and emissions on your car, on and on, nobody elected any of these people who effect billions of dollars of industry or huge chunks of the economy. The "Elon wasn't elected" crowd are simpletons, and similar to blaming a violent society on guns, they villainize the man appointed to clean up government waste rather than acknowledge the core of the apple.

It’s simply The Narrative for Idiots that certain kooks gobble up as the likes of Maxine Waters and Chuck Schumer continuously spew it. You can find them in my other thread…”The Trump Administration” where they’re spewing other such wonderful issues like jerking someone off for money

And, no, I’m not kidding. They really are that demented…just like the previous administration that they hung around America’s neck.

They really are special…and as they say in Texas,”Bless their hearts...”

I've got no dog in the fight, being a foreigner. But from a neutral perspective, Musk taking over Trump's press conference while the president just sits there quietly is a bit.... odd to see.

why cant democrats condemn government waste?  I would say, given the circumstances of N.C., Maui, & the palisades, that this should be a slam dunk...?  yet they still cant do it.

I havent watched it, but i believe they are speaking specifically to the department that elon is heading up?  Seems like the right guy to be giving updates and taking questions.

IMO there were a lot more odd things over the last 4 years....
