I am a dentist (who is obsessed with dirtbikes) in Scottsdale AZ and with Glendale supercross coming up this weekend I wanted to offer any privateers a free exam/treatment for any urgent dental needs on Friday morning (2/4). Being on the road I would assume it’s hard to schedule doctor/dental appointments and the cost of emergency dental care can be expensive. Only urgent needs please. I keep hearing this brought up. It was talked about on Pulp this week too. I looked at the points results back to 2009 and the only season it would affect the top 3 is 2017. Eli Tomac would’ve taken the title and Dungey would be second. Every other year nothing would change. They talked about it for this year because of Covid, but if every top guy misses a race, they all drop 0 points so how does that change anything? Edit: for all the downvoters I’m NOT suggesting we do this. I’m saying it doesn’t make any difference...

It’s getting old. I said nothing about my opinions or my vaccination status. My comment is strictly based on probability. If you ignore that then you are blinding yourself. Odds are everyone will get Covid. If you are not vaccinated they require a negative test to race. If you are vaccinated they don’t require a negative test. It’s simple. Less testing = low chances of texting positive.

Chances are everyone will get it.. no vaccination means weekly testing. Would have been smart to just get vaccinated and avoid the weekly testing.

Vaxxed and boosted here. I realize I'm the minority. I work in healthcare, it was mandated. I would have taken it regardless, such was my optimism in Feb 2021 when I was up for my first shot. In spite of that, the testing needs to equalized for everyone in SX. At this point the vaccine is at best a prophylactic antiviral. With people being infected widely regardless of vaccine status, it is crap to only be testing the non-vaccinated.

You can still get the flu with flu vaccines. Been that way for nearly a century. It's funny because people say, "no big deal, it's just like the flu!!!", but then they act surprised to find out you can still catch and transmit when you're vaccinated....just like you can with the flu. The reason for this conflict is because they're full of shit from the start.

If I was a manufacturer, and I was paying guys a shit ton of money to race my bikes, I would insist they take every possible step to ensure that they stay healthy, don’t miss races, and give themselves the very best chance of a championship. So, even if the vaccine had just a 1% chance of preventing sickness or a positive test I would consider that a valid reason for my riders to get it to protect my (and indeed their own) investment. Bollocks to their conspiracy belief shit. I mean, the manufacturers are shaving weight from the smallest...

No ones forcing a rider to ride for a living. If I were a team boss I was say take the vaccine or ill Find a rider that was willing to. The world is watching how the supercross elites are behaving, it’s not good pr. Just look how well received Novak Drokovic is for his ignorance towards covid. It’s a shame someone like Rozcen couldn’t have set a more positive example. Dave Pingree loves a bit of miss information along with Grant Langston too. All these names have a big influence on mx folk, not good. I expect in time...
