2/1/2015 12:54am It's in there 4.20 c. In the case of a false start (gate malfunction), a race will be restarted with the riders returning to their original starting positions Why would they have a restart just to put the guy who's gate malfunctioned at the rear of the pack anyway?

3/13/2011 3:03am Dead last seems pretty obvious, of course dead last doesn't mean 2 feet out of the gate, or into the first turn. I would count getting caught in the gate or tipping over in the first turn though. I doubt anyone has done it from dead last at lap 5 unless they were sandbagging at Loretta Lynn's.
