Complaining about data centers while using the internet that runs through a data center to post said comment is a little bit ironic … don’t you think?

Hard to believe this company is selling this type of part and they flat out tell customers it could break.  No, doubt if / when it breaks for someone, a serious injury can happen.   Bummed for the OP who now has a serious foot injury.

It will probably be deleted but I posted a review on their website that included a link to this post and also pointed out the companies own disclaimer on the part possible breaking and that they could not be held responsible for anything.

OP, good luck with your surgery!

It's still there.

It Will  be interesting to see how long the 2 negative reviews stay up.

I'd like to know if that disclaimer has been there all along with reference to this product.

If it was put up after some failures, and resultant injuries, such as the OPs well, that absolutely sucks.

On the other hand, if it was bought, after seeing the disclaimer well, I don't know what to say without being unsympathetic.

But, making such an Item, which you Know is going to get Hammered, in Normal use, well, that's damned near Criminal.

Just as a quick check, I went to things that I Know I'd be bloody wary of, just on one model bike.  The XR600 /650L RH footpeg  mount, and the lowering link. Now both of those, you'd want to be 100% sure of being done right. No disclaimer / warnings on those. I've not checked anything else, as, I'd Not buy such  parts for a bike, of any type.

I'd ONLY buy items like the YZ  part, or said XR parts - parts like those , for any bike, from someone like Luxon. Or, make My Own Part.

I've got things from them - they make a lot of 'do dads'. Simple things like rear brake line swingarm clamps, as they are cheaper than the OEM plastic ones, and I have No Fear of them, their plastic upper fork leg protectors,  which I use for DH Forks  Lower leg protection - nicer than PVC, cheaper than buying CF tube .

I've used their ADV type Fairing / GPS mount  set up - affordable, and, I've had no problems with it. Even on a vibratory CRE500, when I do my semi regular long road rides on it. It gets used most often on one of my 'Sit Up and Beg' set ups on a TT2 I have.

And, I've 3 ( Road / Track Day) bikes with the Thumb Brake set up from them , as I have a wide selection of 40mm mount center Brembo Rear Masterclinders, from decades of Ducati ownership.  - BUT,  I do several mods to them, for better adjustability, function, and, I replace a few bolts with better ones,  in terms of length for thread engagement, or, being able to use washers / nyloc nuts on them. And, I install nylon balls into the adjuster barrel so it doesn't vibrate loose. Do that, and it works better than the multi 100 $$ levers, though, it's not a 'pretty' set up.

I've bought some  Banjo Bolts from them, and Brake Reservoirs as well - simple things, that I've had no issues with. And, that are rather expensive when buying original Brembo stuff.

Oh, and I've started to use there  Brembo MC extension on my LHRB - makes for a less stressful time with long day / multi day rides, and Mud / Sand riding, which can wear pads down, quickly. It's not happened, but I've come perilously close to having brake fluid get too low in the MC, at times. And, It's a simple thing, that's affordable, and easy to get. The Italian SAMS reservoir extension, which is what I would have Much preferred, I found damned near impossible to acquire.

They've lots of 'bling' ,for many bikes,  that I don't go for, and, I daresay some useful things as well. But, when it come to things like Footpegs / Brackets, I'd Never go there.

The internet existed before data centers

Have you looked in to getting your surgery done in China?  Even with the flight it'll be like 1/3 the cost.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

That sucks!  Thanks for the warning.

I used Nice CNC pegs before, they were fine, I checked and the pegs don't have this warning like your mounts.   Seems crazy they would sell these for a motocross bike knowing they would snap.

These aren’t for moto. They are for the idiot street takeover, wheelies downtown crowd.

Not that I’d even ride hard enough to break a “nice cnc” mount but I’m glad I went for flo motorsports billet pegs instead so I don’t gotta worry about it.

Nailed it. This has far more weight than where anything comes from.

You must think data centers and AI are unrelated.

Did you get the free fidget spinner?   That'll give you something to do while you're laid up.

A product can be expensive because of branding, marketing, scarcity... etc, or simply because the company charges more, not because the actual product is better.
So especially with parts, Id look at actual materials, manufacturing quality, reliability, tolerances, reviews, and track record rather than assuming “more expensive = better.”

They're using 7075-T6 on these, which is great for strength, but not so hot for stress corrosion cracking or mitigating crack propagation. Those aren't huge concerns, so long as:

A. They don't machine in large stress risers, like the sharp internal corners exactly where this broke, and

B. They don't create feather thin features for a crack to easily initiate, like they did, also where the part broke, and

C. They don't laser etch their logo to act as yet another stress riser, opposite the earlier mentioned stress risers, again, right where this broke, and

D. The material actually is up to the standards of what they say it is, which is questionable.

Oops. But they are a good deal at only $60 retail...

This really sucks for the OP. Hope you heal up quick!

Anodize also exacerbates the poor fracture toughness of 7075.

Adding it all up, they might as well have created perforations and added a “tear here” note.

Do you have any evidence of a quality BILLET footpeg ever failing in any way? Ive ran turner billet pegs for years with zero issues. Just curious.

I don't get the mystery. You can try your best to avoid buying and supporting a communist, dictator ran country or not.

Thanks to U.S. corporate greed it's impossible, but we do have choices. I try my best to avoid china. Because of what their leadership stands for. Because they don't have free elections. They are an advesary to our country.  Because they make a lot of cheap crap. I'm glad that so far we've kept their electric cars out of our country.

This tell it all. These mount are clearly made supermoto conversion. I think the quality as nothing to do with it as it is clearly stated to not do jump. On my crf450 that I converter to electric I used master cylinder and caliper from aliexpress. The front is a ktm copy since i run a wp fork and rear is nissin copy and believe it or not theyre the best brakes I ever had. I never had so much feeling while having so much braking power. Will they l’as as long as the real brand probably not  but for 1/4 of the price i will just buy a new set!

That peg and bracket are both titanium.

That looks like the pegs/brackets HRC ran in the Roczen era.

Not to add any gas to the fire, but look at the first version of the WC lowering mounts for a YZ 2 stroke.

And compare them to the latest batch.... why did they redesigned them?

True, this also happens but they are usually easy to spot.

Careful now, you might have to come up with examples of products manufactured in the US and that's a pretty short list

Just a quick update, I still made a stupid decision, clearly.  It was rushed as there aren't a lot of options and I was leaving town for a week, so just saw an option for a Yz 450 and bought it.  I saw someone posted a warning about jumping with the part and I definitely did not read that.

The company has contacted me for pictures/info and is going to pay postage to send the part back so that they can examine it.

In the end its my responsibility and not the first time a part has failed, nor will it be the last unfortunately.

Keith's a good guy. He got his start in moto as a mechanic - worked for Jim Regar  (the guy that did the CRF parts for a bit) at Santa Clara Honda. He was actually Jim Turner's Mechanic when he won some Canadian MX National Championships. Jim's brother is Paul Turner who was a HRC mechanic and started Rock Shocks (Keith supplied the crowns for the first Rock Shock forks).

Keith was also known as a good 2 stroke cylinder porter. I had an interesting conversation with him after a MTB ride about porting... and he told me a story about riding one of Mark Barnett's bikes after a MX National - and how it had a ton of low end vs the stuff he was working on.

Even though it has been tempting sometimes, I don't buy any critical weigh/stress bearing chinesium parts.

My NiceCNC rear master cylinder protector broke after 40hours. A part what you might think to last forever as long as there is material left to wear

NiceCNC make cheap pretty parts. Maybe they do all the other stuff, maybe they don't. I'll take the risk on a clutch master cylinder cover or gear lever tip. Footpeg, caliper mount, bar mount? I'll pass.
