Luxon MX Added a reply to When did customer service plummet?

Moving to a phone auto-attendant was one of the best things we ever did. We used to get a spam call every 15 minutes, but after installing that, we rarely get a spam call. And that was 10 years ago. I bet it's way worse now with AI call bots. I try to keep the message quick and to the...

Part of the reason for the automated menu systems is all the AI automated spam calls. We would get between 30 and 50 calls per day that we had to answer, it was time consuming and would make you not want to answer the phone with a smile. We had menu system installed, not one spammer has gotten through. What a relief. So, blame spammers for small business automated answering systems.

No pinch bolt on KTM clamps? Damn I might need to order another set. I cannot stand the pinch bolt design.

The first time i pulled my 450 Husky apart, to fit ICE Parts SM clamps, i could not believe it. There is no way the pinch bolt design is an improvement, it creates a massive potential failure point.

You want the threads to run out into an undercut, which is a relief smaller in diameter than the thread minor diameter. Shown with the green arrows here: without the undercut, the threads end at the full diameter, which creates a stress riser and a recipe for fatigue failure (red arrows below).

Hmmm, that’s a scary one… Did you have any big crashes prior to this? It is clear it cracked previously, then fatigued over time till it broke through completely just recently. But what caused that is the question… Stems in general don’t see a lot of stress unless something is out of whack. Over-tightening the bearing won’t do it. It’s...

Jorge can see where Harrison is... Harrison has moved to the side of the track, but Jorge follows him, trying to block Jett... Boxing himself in when Jett cuts back to the inside... Harrison did nothing wrong, it was Jorge's decision to take that line.

2025+ frame with a split triple clamp. I prefer the Luxon clamp as it has the Japanese style design for the steering. I’ve posted a few times on here about the stock triple clamp being the culprit for the harsh feeling from the newer ktms everyone talks about. I noticed a huge difference with clamps on the newer ktms. I would take the air fork with a Luxon clamp over KYB Spring fork with a stock clamp as I have both. 350s are amazing and I don’t understand why more people don’t ride them. I would think a Factory 350...

Just a quick update, I still made a stupid decision, clearly. It was rushed as there aren't a lot of options and I was leaving town for a week, so just saw an option for a Yz 450 and bought it. I saw someone posted a warning about jumping with the part and I definitely did not read that. The company has contacted me for pictures/info and is going to pay postage to send the part back so that they can examine it. In the end its my responsibility and not the first time a part has failed, nor will...

They're using 7075-T6 on these, which is great for strength, but not so hot for stress corrosion cracking or mitigating crack propagation. Those aren't huge concerns, so long as: A. They don't machine in large stress risers, like the sharp internal corners exactly where this broke, and B. They don't create feather thin features for a crack to easily initiate...

You should be able to click on the watch link and scroll down to the videos to watch them. That's how mine is. If I hover over a video, it says "you're booked", so I'm assuming it will work when it goes live in a couple hours.
