Thought a great topic on my latest roadtrip for Lewis or ML.
Best father/mother and son pairings?
ET and John Tomac
Jett, Hunter and Dazzy
Lucas, Sasha Coenen and father
Prado and Jesus
Stefan, Liam and Harry Everts
Villo and his oldman
RC and his mum
Kier and Chase?
AP and Scott
Deegan and Brian
David Bailey and Gary Bailey
I think the Everts win hands down.
Everts. Nobody comes close.
Without a doubt.
Fred and Tom Vialle are a pretty accomplished Dad and Son pair. I'm that old and silly, that I often come out with Fred, instead of Tom.
So many people thought / think Sylvain Geboers was Eric's Dad - but, they were the Oldest, and Youngest, of 5 MX racing Brothers. 16 years difference between them.
I don’t think Big Lew will like the question mark beside Kier and Chase’s names 😬

It's Everts.
But theres Fred Vialle and Tom Vialle. Pretty sure Fred had a factory ride, some 125 GP wins, late 90s
Talon and Max Vohland. Talon won GPs, had a year or two where he was right there for the 250 title, then over in the US he had RC speed on the alloy CR125 but used to cartwheel
Aaron and Scott Plessinger are up there
Yvonne and Miguel, Kenny Kenny and Kurtis, and of course the Dunlops if you want to get into other forms of bike racing.
Nick and Vincent Wey are up there IMO. Both have amazing style and if Vincent can get there in the next couple years that’ll be rad
Sure they’re not biological father and son, but is no one is going to say Gary and David Bailey
I have to disagree with all of you Even tho we never won any national or world championships,I believe it was me and my dad. Cherished memories forever!! As for the most accomplished father and son ,without a doubt,EVERTS.
The Craig’s from a result point of view. Stribjos and Anstie
But I think the question was more around pairing as in working relationship. Lawrence sons and dazzy has to be up there. Two sons at the top and so far they remain in sync as a family despite dad being doing the day to day.
The Stewarts as well and Alessi
Robbie Reynard and Robert Sr.
Three generations of GP riders - has to be Everts.
Bisceglia’s, keefer’s, Fitch’s
The OP didn’t say moto racing. He / she just said racing. With that said, the indisputable best father son team in racing is Team Hoyt.
Mike LaRocco got along well with his Dad….but nobody else did.
Townley’s, I think he has 3 kids racing the FIM Junior Championship this weekend. One in 65cc, one in 85cc and one in 125cc
Plenty of decent answers to fight for second place, but it's obviously the Everts boys and no one else is close.
Pit Row
There's Max Anstie, subject of another thread here, and his Dad, Swervin' Mervin / Merv the Swerv Anstie to consider, also.
Not sure what best means, several on that list had good results but absolutely terrible relationships
Lots of great names.
I'll add Hanny & Donnie since I haven't seen them mentioned yet.
Kevin Strijbos is no relation to Davey.
Mickael and Zach Pichon (MXGP and EnduroGP)
he only has 2 boys, Levi on the 125 and Jagger on the 85,
add Josh and Nixon Coppins, and Nixon is racing the 85 class this weekend as well,
Justin Buckelew's dad Clyde was one hell of a good flattrack racer in New Mexico in the day.
I talked to Troy Dungey once during Ryan's 2022 re-ignition. As a dad, I quickly realized that he seems like one of the real ones.
Nor Lotte to Marcel.
😉
No hate comms but I bet Brian rides circles around dizzy. Brian goes pretty good still.
Might not be moto but AL Unser and Al Unser Jr as well as the whole rest of the family, there is about 4 generations and about 8 of 'em
Motocross, it’s gotta be Everts. On the road side I’d say Robert and Michael Dunlop
