Apparently it's like a virus - once you get it you've got it forever. Sometimes it's dormant but you never know when it'll resurface. It's like the MX version of shingles.

Cameron is from my area and I want to see the kid win so bad.  He’s got insane heart and seems like a solid dude.

Injuries happen…he seems to get hurt a little more frequently but man I just want him to show up healthy and kill it one of these years

Dude, I lierally grew up a stones throw from Sioux City, IA. You're from Missouri. He's from your area??

With PC:

2020 - collapsed lung from practice crash at second round of SX

2021 - knee injury first round of MX

2022 - shoulder injury during press day at sixth round of SX

2023 - shoulder injury at sixth round of SX

2024 - broken scapula at fifth round of SX

2025 - likely torn ACL

The PC “curse” isn’t a curse, it’s the definition of insanity. Maybe keeping injury-prone riders on the roster for half a decade or longer at a time isn’t a great strategy.

Can you post his results for those years prior to the injury? It may help to understand why he has been given ample opportunities, race winners are not easy to come by.

You can take a look for yourself, but 3 SX wins across 6 years of injuries… eh.

I still can’t believe they let him race after red flagging the race FOR HIM! Pretty wild.

Didn't they change the rule as a result of that incident?

Mitch is the boss.  If he rewards riders that are willing to sacrifice everything...I reckon that makes him a fucking good boss.

Who knows if they’re easy to come by since guys like Crashadoo keep getting rides every fucking year when he’s clearly out of control every time he touches the bike.

It’s wild how much the manufacturers pour into amateur kids to develop them and then don’t give them a chance when they go pro so they can keep paying guys like Smith and Crashadoo to durability test their shit in crashes.

Fire him already and get someone that can actually show up to races Mitch….

It also gives him just two championships in twelve years, possibly thirteen.

Yeah, PC should have let McAdoo go so they could bring up a young rider like Drew Adams and not have to worry about injuries.

Yeah and Smith is still winning, and in the championship hunt, and Hampshire won a championship last year. Yep, should've kicked em to the curb

The last title ever for PC was 2019 with AC (MX).

Maybe PC isn't the curse, but Macadoo is to the team lol.

Kitchen would have won the title last year if they didn't come together IMO.

LOL "want him to kill it one of these YEARS"?? The kid has been crashing since he got on the team in 2017... Mitch needs to make more strict standards to keep riders. If you crash out of 2 seasons in a row, to no fault but your own, you're gone. Then maybe it would make these guys think about riding within their limits more.

Is anyone actually surprised?  He's always "riding through an injury"

15 years and millions in salary later Hampshire got it done, yes.

Smith is always in the championship right up until he crashes himself out of it. Hell, he went into Vegas with the points lead and couldnt manage to not eat shit and throw it away.

Meanwhile OEMs and industry companies are dumping millions into their big time amateurs during that time to not give them a ride when they turn Pro so they can keep on dudes who have been crashing out of every championship for decades.

Just seems weird to me.

They both drifted towards each other. Kitchen went right and McAdoo went left when they were side by side.

No, that’s how bad the curse is. Still getting people who haven’t even rode for Mitch in a few years.

About 30% of the time it’s a massive bike failure causing the crash during practice so…

So we are saying Mitch is really good at picking crash prone riders???  Laughable,  maybe he should have gotten into lottery numbers if  he is that good or could the “curse” lie elsewhere???
