'91 Hangtown mudder with Dowd and Henry.

'95 McCormick podiums at Washougal. The epicness of people hanging over the fence screaming was very memorable.

'99 McCormick wins a moto at Washougal

'01 - Anaheim 1. Was walking through the pits behind RC and I hear Jeannie say to RC "what are you going to do if you win tonight". I was thinking "that's pretty optimistic with MC here and all". 3 weeks later and we figured out why she said that and the rest is history.

'01 RC wears a crown and gets booed heavily at US Open

'04 Hangtown - Everyone expecting RC to get tired after missing SX and he smoked everyone. Looking back that assumption was the dumbest thing ever in MX.

Great memories at numerous Monster Cups like Dungey shifting with his hand. That was a great race but it kind of ran its course.

At the first Superbowl of Motocross in 1972
At Carlsbad for Moates epic win.
At the Massacre at Saddleback.
At Anaheim for MCs first SX win. We could tell something special was going to happen on press day.

When Everts rode round the outside of Stewart on the pegs… I watched that with my own eyes!
An incredible weekend that was. Absolutely gutted that RC didn’t ride though.

This was my view from the greatest SX race of all time, 1990 Atlanta. This was one of the last races at the old outdoor Atlanta Fulton-County Stadium, and it was cold as fuck that night. My favorite riders back then were Jeff Ward and Ron Lechien, so I was beside myself at what happened in the final laps of the race.

Super cool seeing RJ, Stanton, Chicken, Wardy, Omara, Bradshaw, Cooper and many others duking it out and literally swapping lead throughout the main.

A less potato-ey video I found:

It would be the 1980 Hangtown National. I failed to make the show... So as a spectator I watched the emergence of Johnny O'Mara and the incredible 1980 Mugen ME125. Barnett still smoked everyone on the day, but Johnny and the Mugen drew all the attention.

HOLESHOT!!!

I also witnessed Everts riding around the outside of Stewart at Matterley, 06 MXDN and the same day I believe is when Cairolli elevated his fan status to not just include Italians, he was awesome in race 2.

I was also at the final SX at the Houston Astrodome, my 1st ever supercross.

I remember him wearing a "speed bump" butt patch at the next race. That was brutal.

My memory sucks but the dates are close.
1990 Nanur where the Eric Gebeors wrapped up 500 GP championship and with him being a Belgian the place went nuts!
1974 Suoerbowl of Motocross

All 4 MXDN in the US (87 Unadilla, 07 Budds, 10 Thunder Valley and 18 Red Bud, I'm going to Red Bud again in 22).

I was at Unadilla when Stewart torpedoed Carmichael, and when Pastrana crashed his career away. I also saw Everts first AMA national there in 97 (I think) and the Desalle/Dungey battle.

I was at Millville when Carmichael lapped the field.

I was at the 1989 USGP at Unadilla, which was Ricky Johnson's last professional win, and Bob Hannah's last professional race.

I saw Barcia flip off Webb at the lip of Gravity Cavity with my own eyes, and later on TV

I saw Stanton's only 125cc professional race, and win, at Unadilla in 89.

I was at the Moscow Supercross with the great RupertX!

I was also at the race Kenny Zahart was DQ'd at for giving his mechanic a ride over the finishline

I was at the 500cc Final in St Pete when Hannah lost the championship to Smith due to a carb clip or something like that.

The one and only Chicago SX that was cold AF and dangerous AF

RC's first comeback win with Suzuki, PHX

I was at James Stewart’s final professional race ever. Washougal 2016 (i believe it was 16). Came out in the first moto and got something like 14th or maybe even worst. Then didn’t race the final moto.

Not quite the swan song departure he deserved but glad I got to see him in the pits and on the track for what was his last time out.

Was fortunate enough to go to Europe with my my old boy in 89. i was 16 and been around moto all my life.
As soon as we new Jeff Leisk was racing in the GP's we decided to book it with to Britain to see my Grandparents.
Jeff was/is a good friend of the family, with my dad racing speedway solos with Jeff's dad Bob.
Anyway to cut a long story short we got to see Jeff as the first Australian to win a MXGP at Ruskeansanta in Finland.
It was awesome being half way around the world and watching a friend do what no one else had ever done before.
The next week in Sweden was an awesome experience also. Not so much for Jeff, but boy oh boy those Swedish girls.
I tell ya.Woohoo

I’ll have to think about it, but before I do, that Windham pic on the RM is sweeeeeeeeet!

Let’s see I was at the southwick where Dunge missed 3/4 of the first lap due to a mechanical, then got the bike fired and proceeded to haul ass out from pit road.

Another southwick during a hurricane…or was that the same year? I wanna say it was 2011? That was a fun one

78 250 USGP at Unadilla. Marty Tripes beats the Euros. They gave everyone American flags to wave it was awesome!

I’ve been to quite a few Nationals. The notable one is Southwick 2011 when Dungey went berserk. I also attended MXDN 2018, which was pretty awesome despite the weather.

Vegas 97 Doug Henry winning on the YZF400 debut, (YZM ?) I forget
Glen Helen -800 standing on Tedesco's bike.
Glen Helen- RC going off the track and going ALL the way down the back side of the hill
Vegas- Lights out !
Glen Helen- USGP- I Volunteered to flag cause I had done it a few times, then I got my ASS CHEWED after I ate lunch. During the break one of the FIM clowns grabbed the hose in my area, sprayed some water down, then didn't get it shut it off all the way and left it trickling. It turned the corner at the bottom of the hill by the bridge into a fucking lake. Full on standing water. Fucking kook. I got the full blame. That was the last time I flagged Laughing Laughing

Also wish I would have gotten to see Magoo race in person.... but never did.... sigh...
I witnessed RC lap the field that day in Millville and was fortunate enough to see Magoo, Bailey, Ward and others jump up Suicide Mountain in ‘83 I think at Saddleback.

Also got to watch Magoo kick ass at Superbikers in Carlsbad.

Good Times....

Me too. I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. I don't think this type of feat will ever be repeated in motorsports again.

It would be like a Formula 1 race in the US, and Bubba from Hanks Garage in their production based car goes out and beats Lewis Hamilton and the rest of the field. I know I'm exaggerating a tad, but you get my point.

83 San Diego when Ronnie won on a dealer purchased YZ250 because Yamaha would not give him a bike to race knowing he was going to Honda.

84 Anaheim season opener- Johnny O' first SX win.

84 LA Coliseum, peristyles, Glover winning $30k in pink gear.

84 Last Saddleback National, Suicide Mountain was incredible.

Every Carlsbad USGP from 82-86. That track was brutal.

87 LA Coliseum, peristyles, RJ last to first.

93 Anaheim Jeremy McGrath first 250 win

Glen Helen 2004 the only time RC ran the #1 on the last race on his Honda, and the only time Stewart raced a 250 four stroke instead of his 125cc.

I was at the '83 San Diego SX as well. Broc was my guy back then, but there was no denying The Dogger was something special after watching him that night.
I was also there in '94 when Ryno won his first 125 race a week after his dad died.

I've only ever been to two AMA Supercross rounds, San Diego 2017 and then backed it up the following week witnessing Kenny's big one at Anahiem 2.

1984 Unadilla 250 USMXGP. As a 14 year old I gained a new appreciation for civilized humanity. And that human beings is a term to use loosely.

2005 Ernée, IMO, the start of a new MXdN era…
2006 Matterley Basin, Everts/Stewart.
2007 Budds Creek, Villo crush!
2007 St Louis, RC’s last SX win.

”Fun” fact… Villopoto was (is) my sons hero, two times i took him to see RV ride, st louis sx 2008 and st louis sx 2010… 😖
