Glen Helen. It's on YouTube. It's mostly interviews and ads but it's easy to fast forward to the races. The first 30 minutes are really glitchy but it clears up beyond that.

Surratt on that CR 500 was fun to watch especially his moto 2 hole shot. Too much bike to hang onto though. The Beta 350s were sick.

Did he ever ride again after recovering or was that his last jump?

All the regular locals tripled easy but to my knowledge no one had ever gone for 4 before he tried it. Shortly after the helicopter left, BJ, the track owner, manipulated the track to prevent anyone from ever trying it again. Ill also say this, the video doesn't do it any justice honestly. Im, well, I was one of the guys when I was younger that would go for some knarly stuff, but that's one I didn't even consider. That track has seen some of the sports legends. Brock used to bring tons of guys when nationals came back east...

As someone that broke almost everything from the knees down in one crash, I can tell you firsthand that Joe feels the decision to go for that jump every single morning.... Glad to hear that he is enjoying living the dad life. Quite a few of us with massive trauma either get hooked on pain killers or worse. One other question - Was he the only one to go for that quad or had it been done before/after?

As TK said, its Beans Bike Park in Ohio. Little over an hour from me. Its a fun place. Pretty big track layout. We're pretty lucky in ohio, alot of places to ride. That being said, I hope that guy made a full recovery. No way I'd ever try that.
