World title decider in WomenMX. Before Moto1 Fontanesi leading over Lancelot. In Moto 1 Lancelot finishing up front snatching red plate. Fontanesi battling thru pack whole moto. The awning of Fontanesi's team shut after Moto1. Sighting lap of Moto 2 Lancelot's bike goes on strike. She got spare bike on the gate but is not allowed to use it due to FIM rules. Fontanesi claims title with Lancelot DNS in tears.
From 2016 FIM allowed to switch bikes on the gate if you got it there. It seems significant if the race changed the FIM rulebook.
RC’s last one.
RV2 waxing the field on a 250.
It was 100 degrees in the shade. Jeff Emig smoked everybody, both motos, in black gear. Carmichael swept both motos in the 125's. I miss that track!

It was also cool to watch Doug Henry clinch the championship that same year at Broom-Tioga. Such a stand-up guy on and off the track. A well deserved championship and turning point in the sport (leading the 4-stroke evolution).
I also went there to see RC, but he got injured the week before at GH. So I never got to see him race in person, which is a bummer.
We had a huge Mototalk get-together both the night before and on the track for race day - freaking awesome! Happy to see most are still around on this forum.
It might not be a huge historical moment in the sport, but races like that didn’t happen much before and after.
