We got my dad's original race bike back a few years ago and bought another one for a parts bike. He's always told me it was really fast but handled like crap and the fork oil would turn to water when the bike got really hot haha.
It was a technologically revolutionary bike with a horrible execution of many brand-new concepts.

1974 125 Carrebella. I got it just when the new Honda 125's hit the Houston area. They were fast and my new bike was so slow.

Hmmm.. I never really hated any of my bikes, but the only one that even comes somewhat close was my 07 YZ250F. I liked the bike for the most part, but had a lot of bad luck on it. I had good finishes, but I also had a lot of weird crashes on it. The motor was really mellow when comparing to my 05 KX250F. I had one really weird/bad crash at Perris on that Yamaha that bent up the bars, broke a few ribs and hurt my ego. She went up for sale after we got new bars and fixed any other issues.
Same besides the LEM. Some bikes just have bad juju. On the KX60 the front brake locked up twice on the face of big tables (luckily tables). Lucky to not break anything. Ordered the 65 as soon as they released it. Then it took forever to come in and I was on an 80 after less than a year on the 65 haha. I personally preferred the 60 over the 65 though.

I couldn't wait to get rid of my 2017 Husky TC 250, the worst suspension on a modern bike I've ever experienced. Made me not want to ride. 4CS forks were the worst.

I thought the '17 had the new air forks.

1988 CR250R. Actually loved the bike but the front braked dragged and I couldn't do wheelies very long.

1989 CR500R. Poor suspension and head shake like a dog with a bug in his nose.

12 KTM 250 SX-F . . . Couldn't get the electrical bugs out of it... thing would just flat out quit at unexpected times... 11 and 13 were both much better.

'92 YZ 250 crunched through gears every other week and the frame and swing arm had more cracks in it than the playboy mansion. That thing felt good for a month then thereafter fell apart weekly. Made me Yamaphobic!

You are hating on some well loved bikes my man
To each his own. Just because the majority approve of them doesn't make them good bikes for everyone..

all this hate and no mention of a Cannondale??? I was happy to sell my 02 440s after realising it was a lumbering battleship, full of issues and R&D that wasn't done well or at all.... coulda, shoulda, woulda. Funny thing is that I traded in my 2001 VOR 503mx, thinking I had actually got a deal for once.

1981 Honda pro link 125 and 250. Terrible. Every other bike I owned I regret selling! Wish i could have kept all of them.

1984 Cagiva WMX250.
Bike was nearly brand new and I "scored" paying just $500 for it. After I woke up from my second concussion from riding it it dawned on my why I got such a great deal on that poor excuse for an MX bike. It made the 86 CR500 I replaced it with seem tame.

2004 CR125 here as well. Couldn't wait to sell it, but I miss the way it looked. I put One Industries Phat #2 like MC, thought I could fly. Now I watch some footage of me on the bike, and MAN, was that thing weak!

Doesn't help that it was a 200!

2000 RM 250. Good lord what an unreliable POS. After the second transmission grenaded in less than a year, l happily sent that thing down the road.

Honestly, it's the only bike l felt bad selling to someone. All my other bikes were sweet when sold. The RM had a brand new transmission but l knew it was only a matter of time before it did what it does to the poor guy. Luckily he was more of a casual, couple times a year desert guy. So l hope it lasted at least a year.

She's a Loooooooka tho, as Jimmy D would say.
What a fucking dog that thing was! Quite the achievement by Factory Yamaha to get speed out of that thing to win the National title
