He rode hard, raced incredibly well, and had his best Supercross season ever. He's now at the elite level and he'll get his one day. Many of us are stoked for Kenny because we all know what an incredible story his road to redemption has been, but Hunter's lifelong efforts should not be overlooked.

Your not alone alone bud. I know these Gen crf get alot of flak but I've had multiple and haven't had any issues other then a bad fuel pump in an 09. Are they the easiest to work on ? No but waaay easier then a 10-13 yz450 my friend's had or my 12-15 ktms. Just bought a 11 crf450 all original with 30 hours on it for $2600 just to have a 450 to scratch that 4 stroke itch when I want something more then a 250 two stroke. Has a yosh slip on, bought a pc link and...

This was in 03 or 04 Honda raced this prototype in the Japanese championship. It probably never reached production due to the fact that Honda decided to pull the plug on the two stroke program around that time. But if you look at the frame it's simular to the second gen crf frames.

3/14/2026 8:02pm I believe Takeshi Katsuya raced it in 2003 in Japan. He raves about the frame / chassis, suspension & engine (Best handling bike he's ridden to date). I believe by then HRC had figured out the 02+ case reed engine. From my understanding the key was the electronic PV, engine specs & ECU map settings. It's too bad this bike...

3/14/2026 11:47am I’m in the minority. Owned a 09,10 & still own a 12 CRF450r model. Some of the most durable reliable bikes owned. Preferred them over the 05,06 & 08 previous models owned. Getting the suspension dialed for you & a Yosh exhaust with a vortex ecu transforms the 09-12 models. Still one of my favorite gen bikes.
