So, I basically have 2 options: waive this bike and wait a month or so for the next shipment to arrive or proceed with the purchase of the repaired one. Thoughts?

This! I'd be pulling it apart to lube everything anyways.

yz 125's are 2 to a crate.

Negative. At least to the last few dealers I've worked at. Trail bikes and small mx bikes are the only ones ive seen double up. KTM 50,65, Yam TTR line, yz65, CRF50-125, groms, ext. Never have I seen a full size bike come in a set.

Given the state of that crate frame hardly manufacturers fault....!!!!! Its clear the crate frame has suffered considerable damage after packaging and during transit. Must be itching to get on that beast though!!! Sad

Its a few parts. Let the dealer fix it (seat, seatcover, fender, sticker on fender, swingarm, swing arm stickers.) Its going to get fixed and go on the floor. Whether you buy it or someone else does, it doesn't hurt the dealer. They have to fix it.

This right here. Something about that picture from the back doesn't seem right. And the way the side panel meets the rear fender in that other pic with the seat tear.

You’d be surprised how often this happens. Both in the motorcycle and auto world. Seen cars get complete repaints before they hit the lot. I wouldn’t sweat it, either have them replace the parts or just wait for the next shipment.

I remember a buddy ran his 85 cr250 into a van . Bout 10mph. Bike was never the same, frame was bent. Turned great left. Not so much right though, I never liked riding it after that, it had noticeably changed......but if it had been delivered bent I'd have never known and just been screwed. Seriously the forks, wheel, levers all of it looked fine.....that bike has a bent frame. I'd walk bro. That's allot more than cosmetic damage. That's fell from 10 ft in the air type damage lol. That bike could be bent for sure, could is good enough reason to walk. No way I'm buying that bike. Insurance should be totalling it. Period

I realize crashing somehow doesn't bend them too bad. I have had some big ones. Seen my bike do flips for 30 yards downhill and they were fine. Have also seen a frame be bent from a 10 mph crash that was just probably the perfect hit. Don't risk it that dealer would never know, let alone tell u if the frame was bent. No.thank.u.

Thanks for sharing the pics! Subframe looks very bent, exhaust took a blow it looks like, better check the exhaust and the mounts for cracks. If the disc hit the subframe that hard, the spokes, rim and the hub could have issues also! Swing arm looks like it got into a wreck with another bike on a track....... The bike in the background looks like it took a beating as well. OP, I would not accept the bike at all!

I have seen my bike flipping downhill over and over for 30 yards and had it be ok. They are tough. Have also seen a bike have a bent frame from a 10mph crash that was probably the perfect hit. That dealer couldn't even tell if it was bent if they wanted too. No.thank.u. lol those crates are designed to hold hundreds of pounds man. Even cardboard holds allot. That was a big hit.

I work at a dealer. No way in HELL Im taking delivery of that motorcycle. Even if the dealer was going to fix it, no sir.

If it were a car or truck someone ordered there isn’t anyone on this forum that would take delivery if it had suffered that kind of damage. The fact that this is a dirt bike makes no difference. You should get what will be on the “Purchase Order” as it will never reflect any of this damage once the dealer fixes it.

Maybe get the vin number of that one too in case they fix it and say they got some “new” ones in.

I would wait for the next shipment. You are paying the money after all I think you are entitled to pass on that one, much more than a swingarm scuff that rearend looks no good.
