I too felt that the 07 rmz450 was flat on top that I rode. I'm sure the newer five speed ones are better. Thing cornered great though no doubt. Rode 05 crf450 same day as RMZ, that thing is one of my favorite bikes I've ever ridden talk about Rev lol. ... more »

I think maybe those engines are a tad healthier, they probably benefit idk, just didn't like the way it tamed the hit. I don't want my bike to rev slower when I feather the clutch. I'm sure in outright hell conditions it could've helped, didn't definitely ... more »

Lol yep a 1.85 rim from a 250f. If you know anywhere to borrow one from just try it, I guarantee you will notice the difference. Always a 110 tire with this bike, lighter the better

Also, I do not prefer a flywheel weight, lost acceleration and excitement, felt really flat all the way through. Great traction though, chunked a brand new tire dead in one day when it was on. I stick with stock clutch aluminum instead of steels, and ... more »

If it runs better with the choke on you're going to need bigger jets than you have in it now.

Added reply in a thread Honda cr 125 8/21/2020 11:38 AM

50-1 is a bit lean for a 125 IMHO, with how much revs are involved 32-1 always works out better. I'd turn the choke all the way clockwise, then dial get the jetting close, usually a turn or two out on the choke knob after should get it to somewhat idle. ... more »

Run it 32-1 with a 180 main and 50 pilot. Start there. also the the idle circuit is a fuel bypass, turn the thing counter clockwise to richen and clockwise to lean it out. Is actually kind of a cool tuning tool

Just like a dirt bike. In right hand corners the right leg stays up and on the brakes. That's why right hand first turns are always carnage, can't put a foot out and use the stop pedal lol. It's also why so many riders blow out the left knee. On a side ... more »
