Seeing that he's only been on it a week, you're sure that it's the performance of the bike that is holding him back? Perhaps he needs some time to adjust to the bike to get up to speed.

Seems to me that KTM wouldn't have placed it in that protective enclosure if they thought the device was waterproof.
Just realized this. WTF! Not only that...after Saturday there's a 2 week break until Daytona as well.
I though I recall reading the unit must remain horizontal in order to connect, so while it would physically fit behind the front number plate it would not be able to communicate properly. I could be wrong, though.
