They have pre canned scripted segments on different riders, they come up with personal interest stories that they are determined to tell, and then regardless of the racing action they show whatever rider they scripted a story about whether that rider is on the side of the track with a flat, floundering in 16th or battling for the lead they are going to tell their story and you’re gonna watch that rider… The thing that the broadcast critics are trying to explain, let the racing be the story during the race.
