8/6/2026 6:45pm It's the opposite. The injector in the airbox/air boot is the upstream (which kicks in at higher rpms and fires alongside the other injector.). The injector on the throttle body is the downstream. Naming aside. It is good to clean the one in the airbox/air boot too and make sure its operating correctly, as that one should be firing during...

8/6/2026 4:29pm UPDATE: I had the kid buy a new throttle cable. It worked perfectly, but measured a good 5-7mm longer than the stock one I took off. 🙃 The only thing I can imagine is that he messed up the cable while trying to fix it before he brought the bike over; it looked like there was a kink in the cable near the front numberplate, even though the cable moved smoothly. Maybe the sheath got stretched out of shape and didn't allow for enough play? It still doesn't explain the difference in cable length from end to end. I've heard...

8/6/2026 4:08pm The upstream injector handles higher rpm so that would be one you would want to test and clean as part of the process.

8/6/2026 5:47am As others posted, quick wipe down of kroll or wd40 does wonders for keeping rust at bay. If it becomes rusty, remove and apply clr and a bit of steel wool and it will look as good as new.

8/5/2026 3:32pm Keeping bare pipes clean is so easy. WD-40 with scotch brite after washing, and maybe once a month pull it off and use some CLR or Lime Away. There is no need for nickel plating, SS or Ti for the purposes of preventing rust.

8/1/2026 9:54am Pull up Google Earth for your property and drop some general pins to mark the "box" you have to work in. Now that you have the "box" delineated, next add additional markers for the track layout you have in mind. This is where you want to do most of your ideation. Once you have a track shape that you think...

7/31/2026 8:30am " Hundreds of millions of potential viewers will have the opportunity to witness the world’s most elite amateur talent compete for coveted AMA National Championships at the sport’s most famous and hallowed grounds." I'm not sure how this is an upgrade or bragging point when the previous arrangement was available to all 6 billionish people worldwide that have internet access. This one's a head-scratcher for me.

7/26/2026 2:05pm Some old heads at NBC have convinced them that “television is about storytelling” so all the production meetings are focused on generating storylines that they can write scripts around and shoot interviews about. Then they can pepper the broadcast with those stupid little video clips of the riders answering specific questions about the storylines the production wants to portray. Because just reacting to the unfolding competition in front of them is not enough!!

7/20/2026 5:55pm @Kris Keefer DC = Damage Control. if some have been paid and others have not that's a genuine WTF. No need to accuse people of being conspiracy theorists, or maybe we just have unrealistic expectations for the sophistication level of Cotter & Co. Operations? also, why did you say "AMA" and not MXSports?

7/18/2026 9:30am Feels like a trial balloon being floated by RC as directed by his handlers at NBC, or possibly even starting the messaging for a decision that has been made. Hey RC, the idea sucks. That’s my opinion of ‘your’ idea. Let’s not change the sport to fit a TV window. Endurance and toughness in the summer sun is part of the allure of motocross. We have SX and the SX finals which are made for TV. Look for ways to edit the coverage. For RV, do you actually believe this is a good idea? Edit: Imagine the SMX riders trying...

7/18/2026 9:29am no argument there. Multiple series = multiple promotors. I singled out Feld as the most blatant profit-making offenders by stretching out the program all day and into the night.

7/17/2026 5:16pm If NBC wants to cut down the moto length, just do that via delay and show on NBC broadcast for the casual/non fan. Keep the full length and stream live on Peacock for us fans.

7/17/2026 4:57pm Never understand the fitting into a time slot when the races are on a streaming service? The stream isn’t blocking something else from showing up. Make the day longer by adding the futures, women’s or 125ex…you can fit it in the stream…
