Aluminum has no business being involved in a foot peg or bracket, I don’t care who/where it’s made.

If the bike is not sprung for your weight, clicker settings are not going to help. It likely feels firm because you are riding in the lower part of the stroke, due to springs not being heavy enough to hold you up in the stroke. And yes, mx fork and spring valving is going to feel overly stiff for riding...

Good advice so far from current owners regarding TwinAir filters, removing the internal exhaust screens, Loctite, and keeping an eye on steering stem bearings. I'll add a couple tidbits from my ownership as well. The steering stem bearings last significantly longer if you seal up the frames' inner head-tube: I clean all the grease out first, cut a fork sticker to fit between the races/surrounding the frame walls, and then reassemble with a liberal amount of Maxima/Motorex/BelRay grease. I've found that the lower bearing wear/notching isn't a result of washing, rather moisture in the frame itself. Mapping is free to...

Blue locktite everything you can think of before you ever ride it . You will never lose a bolt. If you don't. You will lose many. Other that that. Twist the throttle and go! Great bikes stock.

Thanks man, Im guessing the "upstream injector" would be the one located on the fuel rail/throttle body?

Thank you dude. I'm gonna just pull both tomorrow for safe measure and go get them cleaned! Glad I asked cus I was going to ignore the airbox injector LOL. Thanks again, Ill report back when I have this resolved!

It's the opposite. The injector in the airbox/air boot is the upstream (which kicks in at higher rpms and fires alongside the other injector.). The injector on the throttle body is the downstream. Naming aside. It is good to clean the one in the airbox/air boot too and make sure its operating correctly, as that one should be firing during...

UPDATE: I had the kid buy a new throttle cable. It worked perfectly, but measured a good 5-7mm longer than the stock one I took off. 🙃 The only thing I can imagine is that he messed up the cable while trying to fix it before he brought the bike over; it looked like there was a kink in the cable near the front numberplate, even though the cable moved smoothly. Maybe the sheath got stretched out of shape and didn't allow for enough play? It still doesn't explain the difference in cable length from end to end. I've heard...

As others posted, quick wipe down of kroll or wd40 does wonders for keeping rust at bay. If it becomes rusty, remove and apply clr and a bit of steel wool and it will look as good as new.

Keeping bare pipes clean is so easy. WD-40 with scotch brite after washing, and maybe once a month pull it off and use some CLR or Lime Away. There is no need for nickel plating, SS or Ti for the purposes of preventing rust.

Pull up Google Earth for your property and drop some general pins to mark the "box" you have to work in. Now that you have the "box" delineated, next add additional markers for the track layout you have in mind. This is where you want to do most of your ideation. Once you have a track shape that you think...

" Hundreds of millions of potential viewers will have the opportunity to witness the world’s most elite amateur talent compete for coveted AMA National Championships at the sport’s most famous and hallowed grounds." I'm not sure how this is an upgrade or bragging point when the previous arrangement was available to all 6 billionish people worldwide that have internet access. This one's a head-scratcher for me.

Some old heads at NBC have convinced them that “television is about storytelling” so all the production meetings are focused on generating storylines that they can write scripts around and shoot interviews about. Then they can pepper the broadcast with those stupid little video clips of the riders answering specific questions about the storylines the production wants to portray. Because just reacting to the unfolding competition in front of them is not enough!!

@Kris Keefer DC = Damage Control. if some have been paid and others have not that's a genuine WTF. No need to accuse people of being conspiracy theorists, or maybe we just have unrealistic expectations for the sophistication level of Cotter & Co. Operations? also, why did you say "AMA" and not MXSports?
