profmur Added a reply to One click, no start, at my wits end
5/14/2026 6:14am Electrical problems are the worst. The troubleshooting needs to be systematic otherwise it's easy to chase your tail. That the starter relay is clicking audibly and not starting means low voltage is happening at the relay but not full voltage making its way to starter, or the starter motor is intermittently faulty. That you jiggled wires under the seat and...

5/13/2026 3:47pm So you think all those guys will show up as privateers when half the factory rides go away? If Star cuts their team in half do think the other half is going to race? You will still get the guys that get lapped twice either way but you will lose many of the factory supported riders without a ride as we have seen in the past when they lose factory rides many of them don’t go buy a bike and race or race somewhere for free they just stop. You will not get a more competitive series you will get...

5/13/2026 3:45pm Hymas and Shimoda are the only ones that were able to match Deegan's pace at times. Well, also Masterpool for a couple of races where he seemed to be having an out of body experience. Perhaps not having to try to match Deegan's pace will keep them off the ground and help with consistency.

5/13/2026 3:39pm Almost half the rides go away if there’s no East/West though, and a couple trams don’t participate. I don’t disagree that the East/West thing is kind of broken but thinking combining the two will result in this level of support fo that many riders isn’t going to happen.

5/13/2026 3:01pm Follow the orthopedist advice to the letter. The best things you can do during your consult is to bring a specific list of questions you want answered and have that conversation with your orthopedist. When will I get back to walking without crutches? Will I be in a brace? When can I get back to sports? Any orthopedist worth their...

5/13/2026 1:52pm Agree with following your orthopedist advice. Be prepared that full recovery time is wide ranging variable. I had a meniscus repair in my mid 20s. It is not 6-8 week recovery to get fully back to sports. More like 3-6 months until fully healed, depending on age, diet, etc. With a small tear and a meniscusectomy, the recovery is minor...

5/13/2026 11:21am Exactly. Hopefully it goes without saying but start with a new race. Loctite bearing retaining compounds generally have a gap fill of 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm. If the gap is larger, use the shim method. Bearing retainer compound and JB weld are epoxys, can be removed mechanically with effort if needed.

5/13/2026 5:55am If the lower race can be pushed into the frame by hand and doesn't fall out, it sounds like you might be able to get away with using a retaining compound like loctite 660 or JB weld. If the gap between race and frame is worse than that, you could use an aluminum can to fabricate a shim. Easy fixes...

5/13/2026 5:38am The TBI has two identical sensors, one used as ccps and one as ambient air. You can swap them to test, and if the poor running goes away its due the sensor. Further troubleshooting: When did the poor running start? Before or after ECU reprogram? Did the bike run well/no symptoms after the ECU reprogram? Before or after the reed...

5/11/2026 10:11am Bogging and poor running can be a sign of a bad crank case pressure sensor. The electronic power valve could also need reset which would lead to poor running. Are you getting any codes?

5/10/2026 11:55am I think it depends if Roczen decides to race next season. If Roczen stays, the team is covered for p1, and I could see Malcolm as a one year contract for p2. I just don't see Malcolm doing much much other than mid pack or occasional podium.

5/10/2026 6:32am Every round appears to use fill dirt. Based on the visible rocks during JTs whoop review, it's not even screened. I doubt they pay for/invest in soil, more likely its from local builders or in the case of SLC, from the mine.
