Im in Australia...super excited about this bike because of the freedom to ride at home it will give me. I have no real pre concieved ideas about owning the bike other than it should be pretty easy to maintain..steering...

I said in a previous thread that I can appreciate the technology and advancements the KTM group is making with the two stroke development, but I still prefer tinkering with a carb just because it’s a fun and rewarding task to me. Super excited to get some ride reports out of this 300! Should be a great bike for the Vets who grew up on two strokes but enjoy the power of a modern 450, seems like a great compromise between the two. Sad to see no 150SX, wonder if they’ll bring it back at some point, maybe go back...

5/12/2022 4:00am Not sure what you have there...I just logged into their website, and the price is the same...I had to click on a button that said Australia, the price $ 16,900 and that is for the 60 hp one,after a $100 deposit , Australian dollars..nothing has changed. It jumps up to $17,900 if you selct 80 hp..Once again that is Australian...

The founder guy in the turtleneck said weeks ago they're looking at a one to three month delay due to certain key parts being more difficult to procure. Think I recall him saying they eventually will make these parts in house, once economies of scale is an option. I wouldn't worry at all about getting your bikes. A few month delay for a startup is not a big deal. He was a guest on the Gypsy podcast, worth a listen...

Langhammx, I thought the same thing! 1-3 months is a lot longer than 10 months. I'm no real rush. When it gets here it gets here unless Michael Lindsay and JT et al travel to Europe and tells us it sucks balls then I lose 100.00. Every time I go to a Canadian Tire in Canada I lose 100.00 buying shit I don't need, so....

Some people like myself ride and race a two stroke much better that an 450 or 250f. I stopped racing 450’s and would choose my two stroke cause at the end of my motos I could ride it harder vs be a passenger on the 450. I’m faster on the first lap and the last lap on my 300sx, so yes we’re buying this bike as the best race weapon available to us. Here’s a start in vet 30 at mammoth against 35 450’s at 8,000+ ft. It’s all about the rider! Although I did pump up at the end...

If I'm not as fast on this as my 450 I will not care at all. As long as it's fun and cool, which I think it will be. No valves to service is a bonus and no jetting, 219 lbs 👍

KTM came out e-start for bikes. KTM came out lighter bikes. KTM came out with TPI and TBI-2-strokes. KTM came out finger followers for MX 4-strokes. KTM came out with mapping/launch control switch. KTM came out with E-5 electric kids MX. Other factories have followed them so they have some things that changed the sport. And I do ride Yamaha.
