I've been following their limited updates since they first announced their existence...this was the bike I showed to my landlord when I asked him if I could ride a bike like this here on the farm...he said yes..
It was then I determined to get the first emx bike on the market...I ordered a Varg..
Haven't heard anything from these guys for months, now they are taking orders..
I wish them well and look forward to seeing how it compares to the Varg once they are both out there with customers riding them.

It's based on a YZ250F frame (or 450f). They should also offer conversion kits. At least that would bring the ridiculous price tag down a hair.

Agreed, but if it is based on that frame platform, why should it cost so much?

I do think this is the best looking EMX bike I've seen along with the Honda.

If they could see just conversion kit I would buy it. Could build it on one of my Yamahas.

Electric isn't gonna be cheap... upgrade/replacement packs will be four digits... as will be good motors and speedos...

Yes, the price is ridiculous, but is slower a bad thing.
You already have people here with opinions that 450 are too much for racing.
Decades ago we saw the demise of 500cc dinasors that also proved to be too much.

But yeas, the price needs to be closer to $10k

the issue isn't max power. Its efficiency. A lot of people will be able to use every bit of that 40hp. The motor/battery combo run most efficient at about 75% of max power. Sort of like cruising at 55mph not he freeway in your car. so that means to get the most run time our of your bike, you'd want to only ride using 30hp. thats less than a 125 2t. No one wants that in a ~255lb dirt bike. Thats why the Stark has a max HP of 80. that puts the most efficient range at 60hp. same level as a done up 450.
