Added reply in a thread Air suspension tuning 8/1/2021 3:56 PM

it is easier to change air pressure than it is to raise or lower the rear spring, like race sag, changing air pressure for me is more of an effect in corners like changing race sag than how hard you are landing or busting acceleration/braking whoops ... more »

It's just convenient to change the pressure little bit at a time to affect over steer under steer much like race sag on the rear.

Dude just shut up. I've raced a long time and tires plus suspension out of anything makes the biggest difference.

Nowadays I don't touch compression or rebound on my forks. If the traction sucks I raise the front end with air. If the compression is good and I want to turn a little tighter I lower the front end by lowering air pressure. A long time ago I set my clickers ... more »

Maybe like clutch cover and even aftermarket pipes make little to no difference . Tires and suspension definitely affect you ride. Big difference between Hoosier pirelli, Dunlop and starcross tires.

Added reply in a thread How to lose 10lbs on a kx/rmz/crf/yz 450? 7/26/2021 6:45 AM

Losing 10 lbs off the rider is not that easy. I can order parts while I'm at work. I'm going to try and do a water fast for maybe 2 days in the week coming to district races I don't think it will be 10 lbs

Added reply in a thread It's been asked before, but ... how much weight can I expect to lose with Ti hardware, Tubliss systems, etc.? 7/26/2021 6:23 AM

Don't use any aluminum bolts. You can get Chinese ti from ebay for cheaper and just use drilled aluminum washers if you can't find flange bolts.

Make a 300lbs off road pig with taiwanese parts and sell it to old timers who only care for the nostalgia of the name. Dual exhaust and real crazy looking fenders.

This is my daily driver, I had a lot of good times and also a fair amount of problems. I would not be surprised if it was made in Taiwan especially the electronics have been a problem

It's going to be a 300lbs off road or dual sport pig.

Added reply in a thread Open Classes, is it time again? 7/17/2021 7:15 AM

125 class would be better for the sport. That rule would kill Suzuki. Then Honda and KTM would release a monster that would kill and paralyze people. Imo they need to slow the bikes down. I would hate to see a pro killed or another one paralyzed.

Ive had some bad luck with my triumph. Daytona 675 is my daily driver and so far I replaced the motor, exhaust flapper, stator 2x, reg/rectifier, brake fluid reservoir, coolant reservoir, map sensor 2x. Constant problems from the bike.

Big bore two strokes are the least fun. I feel like my teeth are going to come loose from my face on a 500. Riding a cr500 fast is sketchy as fuck and you never really use the power. On a 125 it's very manuverable you can late brake the fuck out of it ... more »
