So I have some vacation time I need to use up and I thought it would be fun to do a riding trip for this years vacation. Here’s the details:
• I have from the evening of September 4th (Friday) through the 13th (Sunday) available. 9 consecutive days off.
• I have either a moto van or a truck and toyhauler at my disposal for transportation.
• Mesquite, Nevada is home for me so that would be the start & end point of the trip.
I have spent a significant amount of time on SoCal tracks, so I would ideally like to go somewhere else but am not expressly against Cali. I am willing to burn up 3-4 days of driving as long as I can maximize on track time, especially during the week. I am a Vet 30+ C skill level for reference.
Where would you go given this information?
I would rent a shed at Rynoland and take some psychedelic's.

I could definitely see the appeal of the Rynoland idea but that’s not really my cup of tea haha
What I’m struggling with, is finding tracks open during the week. If I could figure that out, I could plan a route based on that info. That’s what I’m hoping people will chime in on.

Southern California native, so forgive me for being CA biased. If you race much, Argyll MX has an OTHG Bay area national on 9/5 and 9/6. Maybe hit E-Street MX (Wed.) and DT1 (Thursday) through the week? SoCal Vet MX has a race on Glen Helen’s Arroyo track on 9/6. Could hit a variety of facilities midweek too: Fox Raceway is usually open Friday-Tuesday, Cahuilla Wednesday, GH Thursday, Lake Elsinore for Vet (25+) on Friday, Barona or Perris on the weekend…
Colorado isn’t far away if you want to try something new. Could hit Moab for a day or two on your way out if you ride offroad, then Dry Lake MX, Leadville MX, Thunder Valley, Brush/Sweney’s (if they have a scheduled practice), down I-25 to Aztec in Co Springs, then hit Moriarty and Aztec in NM on your way home.
Skip the tracks. Go to romania/Serbia/Costa rica/thailand/portugal/morocco ect and do a badass Enduro tour. Extra points if you can swing one where you stay in home stays and someones grandma makes you dinner and the grandpa gets you drunk on hooch he makes at home.
Texas and Oklahoma - 3 palms (open almost every day), his 956, underground mx (open mon-thur on their training track), metroplex (Tues night), river valley (Thurs night), river oaks, sams mx, cycle ranch, Oklahoma Motorsports Complex, The Spot (never been, looks awesome)
