Chase will always know that he gave 100%, never gave up, and that he came out on top. It would have been easy for Chase to give up when he was behind in points, but he didn't do that. Chase was consistently the fastest guy out there, threw away several wins, and probably learned a lot along the way. I think the opposite. He had some close calls that could have been ended bad this year so I think he knows that it's is time to stop. His body probably start to asking for and probably his wife secretly as well. It's just normal after so many years at the top level. I will missing him bad but life goes on. No way. Everybody feels for tomac, but you can’t deny sexton the title. He was balls out fast all season long. Who would have thought he was the one to stay healthy whilst the field dropped around him ? To win the title you have to finish races. No asterisk required

Was at the race tonight and Eli cased directly in front of our section. I saw him pull to the side and slow down and thought maybe something broke on his bike. We now know he tore his Achilles, though, and I feel such intense sadness for him given the circumstances and context of this. He looked set to win the race tonight or at least solidfy an insurmountable lead going to to SLC. And then probably race in the mx series which he hadn't planned on doing because he had such a great sx season. All of this obviously...

Chase is a stud and completely deserves the championship. There is no asterisk. Hope Eli isn’t hurt too bad. I cringe whenever I hear of an achilles injury.

Three pages and no more info on the Hill brothers "action" in NYC? I'm a fan of the brothers. As for cowboy hats... I wear them all the time. As bad as everyone in here wants to chat about cowboy and construction fashion trends... Can we get back to the fact that this is a 3 pager and still nothing on the actual Hill bros "incident". Where are all the "insider journos" when you actual have real incidents? If this is true in any way... it's pretty insane that riders were attacked in a car with crowbars and it didnt make any news anywhere?
