Can we end the controversy? I watched this frame by frame many many times, from different angles.
AC tried to turn down. His front wheel just kept pushing. There was nothing he could do. Look at these two photos. The circled number is the frame of video. 20 frames from the time Webb hit the dirt, until AC made contact. That’s 0.66 seconds.
here’s some more photos showing the contact. AC absolutely hit Webb’s helmet. You can see how his visor snaps up when contact is made.

Why is this even a conversation? Was any of this even questioned?
Ya read the other threads. Some people saying AC should’ve turned down, or chopped the throttle so he could miss Webb. Or saying he hit his back, not his helmet.
Cooper said that he made a mistake and no one was to blame, which I agree with. Glad Cooper will be okay, but it was pretty disheartening to see some of the comments made about him on social media while he was being transported to the hospital.
What’s the controversy? Haven’t seen anything saying it was AC’s fault..

There has been quite a few guys in here blaming AC. Which I disagree with. In the end though , I'm just glad Cooper is ok. Was definitely a brutal hit.

AC has come onto Twitter and expressed how destroyed he is because of what happened…and said it happened too fast for him to correct his trajectory. Coop has come onto SM and said it was just unavoidable and he lays no blame on anyone.

If anything AC should be given credit for not breaking Cooper back.

There are a few vitards making posts saying AC DID NOT hit Cooper in the head and he shouldn’t have a concussion because AC hit him in the back. 🤦♂️🤦♂️

This is one of those issues where there are more people complaining about idiots than there are idiots. I've seen a small handful of idiots blaming AC, but if you ignore them they'll go away. The vast majority of people see the incident for what it was, so who cares what the idiots think?
Very unfortunate incident and I’m very glad that Webb is mostly fine. Looked very bad in the moment. Definitely a racing incident and AC did what he could to avoid him. I was just surprised at Webbs bobble in that corner, he lost the front in that rut, probably because he ran it on tomac the corner before and was thinking tomac was going to punt him. First time I’ve seen Webb sort of crack.
I just now watched the race, and by your post I’m guessing there’s a lot of stupid assholes that thing AC actually did that on purpose… They should be banned from this page forever for being that stupid
