That looks like a video error, especially if it was taken from a slow motion stream. If the slow motion clip is running at quarter speed, creating the clip generally consists of the computer/phone generating 3 in between (fake) frames per original frame. This is really difficult to do correctly when there is a lot of fast movement in the video, and there's a lot of fast movement in this video. I don't believe anyone could survive their neck getting into that position, let alone walk away questioning if anything is broken. I can see his head in this position...

Sounds like the tire chunking has more to do with it being an old tire and the rubber drying out/rotting. Tires do have a shelf life.

I went the first 2 years they had it at Pala and the parking/traffic was so bad I’d swore I’d never go back. Not unless they brought it back Glen Helen. 15 years later I’m back because my little one was begging to go. Same shit 15 years later. It took 2.5 hours to get out of the parking lot to the road. I won’t be back again unless it’s at Glen Helen. Was it fun? Hell yea!!!! Great day of racing. Will I be back? NOPE. They can keep their BS SMX league fee they tack onto the ticket...

2+ hrs from the freeway. Ended up just parking along the road and walked that last 3/4 mile. missed the first 250 moto and 1/2 of the first 450. Lots of people still behind us that missed more. Spectating views sucked. The whole experience sucked. NEVER AGAIN. Bring back Glen Helen.

I'm convinced everyone has been told to rip every track deep and turn them into rutcross to bring speeds down. Doesn't make for great racing IMO but that's the only option they have as bikes keep progressing. The great races of the past with guys wringing every ounce of power out of the bike and moving all over the place trying to get around each other aren't coming back with the bikes we have now.

Few things in life beat a day at a National for me. I’ve been to WW, Muddy Creek, and Budd’s. Waking up at the track, bacon and eggs on the griddle, perfect summer weather, beers by 2pm, and the overall feel of being part of the crowd of the great outdoors is unmatched. One of the few things that still feel pure and “core”.
