6/25/2026 6:46am hannah rode a works bike at the 87 mxdn, not remotely close to a stock 87. there are some photos if you can find them, showing clearly the case reed engine, which didnt make production until 1989 model year.

These track owners can't win. If we could just leave the tracks at their normal state and have unique conditions at each event it would be really good like it was 20 years ago. I think it would go back to highlighting a rider's talent on specific tracks like it use too. But at some point, the AMA became paranoid about dust and having every track ripped as deep as possible to hold water and slow the speed down. So these tracks have to bring mulch in to mix it to help rip it as deep as possible and hold...

6/1/2026 6:24am the last gen kx250 had an all new engine in 2005. Yamaha is still pumping out a mildly different engine from 1999... it wouldn't be that big a surprise if they used the last gen engine as a starting point at least.
